Mona opposes her mother’s wishes and marries her colleague, even though he has no proper home, and they live in a small basement room. Over time, poverty breaks her, especially when she sees her sister Nawal living comfortably while her coworkers mock her worn-out clothes. Regret fills her heart, and she decides to leave her husband, realizing there is no place for love in poverty.
