Riad is found stabbed to death at his house, and when the police carry their investigation, five different women confess to murdering him. What is even more startling is that Riad's mother informs the cops he was dead 15 years ago.

Mahmoud Selim meets Riad's mother who recounts to him the story of her past and how she married Riad's uncle following his father's death, which made Riad decide to take revenge. She also tells him about his marriage to Qesmat and how unstable their relationship is.

Riad tries to persuade Aida to ditch working for Mary in the casino and to work for him instead. Mahmoud resumes his investigations, and he learns that Riad went to the doctors with Qesmat against his own will. Rose entreats Tata to look after her daughter Rita after her death.

Mahmoud cannot fathom that such a sweet and well-educated singer like Nadia could ever kill. Fotna searches for a job away from the hostel. Riad starts smuggling arms for a living, and Aida is entirely obedient to him. Qesmat enlists the help of charlatans.

Rita meets the mourners who come to console her over her mother's death. Mahmoud Selim senses something incomprehensible, mysteriously connecting the five women. Qesmat's mother totally opposes her daughter's marriage to Riad.

Nadia reminisces over her past and remembers how passionately she loved Mourad and how she had to leave him to fulfill her aspirations. Mahmoud Selim's suspicions are confirmed as he finds the connection between the five women-suspects.

Rita puts the hostel up for sale. Mahmoud Selim interrogates Hristo, the tavern owner, to find out more about Riad and his habitual practices. Nadia turns down Mamdouh's offer to produce a movie starring her because she knows she'll have to compromise other things.

Qesmat loses consciousness due to the apothecary's lousy recipe. Rita aimlessly wanders the streets of Cairo, searching for her peace of mind. Soaad tries to make her way in the world of cinema and acting. Um Hashem asks Fotna to work at Qesmat's house.

Seddiq tries to dissuade Rita from selling the hostel. Aida helps Toha have an abortion. Mahmoud still investigates the real motives behind Riad's murder. Fotna informs Riad that Rita intends to sell the hostel.

Riad gets in a relationship with Fotna. Shocked by the news that he's married, Nadia breaks up with Mourad. She also turns down a supporting role she has been offered. Riad, Aida, and Farghali resume their swindling acts.

After he gets swindled out of money, the mayor learns the truth of Aida and that she's merely a fraud. Hassan tries to meet with Fotna, who's growing infatuated with Riad. Qesmat finds lipstick stains on Riad's shirt and learns that he is cheating on her.

Nadia stipulates for an increase in the salary if she is to renew her contract with George. Lamie threatens Rita to sell the hostel. Riad tries to get closer to Rita, so he feigns concern for her.

Rita asks Tata about Riad and his business with Therese. Aida lands a job at Syriacus store. Roshdi promises Nadia to be the lead in one of his movies. Qesmat asks Riad about his family and why he detached himself. Hassan still tries to woo Fotna who still rejects him.

Qesmat is considering having a job. Rita develops a crush on Riad. George decides to dismiss Nadia from work upon her insistence to have double the salary she gets paid.

Riad rejects the idea of his wife's work. Meanwhile, he and Aida are preparing for their next mission. Rita is getting more infatuated with Riad, and she asks Seddiq about him, but Seddiq denies knowing him.

Riad's plans to woo Rita are fruitful as she indeed falls for him and entrusts him with the management of the Champs-Elysée hotel. Mahmoud Selim interrogates Mohammed about his relationship with Sherifa, Qesmat's sister.

Riad starts managing the hotel. Mahmoud Selim meets with Sherifa, who tells him about Qesmat and Riad's marriage. Riad promises to help Nadia rise to stardom. Aida accepts to marry Syriacus, but Riad vehemently opposes the idea.

Aida turns down Syriacus's proposal, while Mahmoud investigates the latter over Riad's murder. Rita and Soaad go to the movies. Riad reports to the police that Merry has turned her apartment into a brothel.

Aida rents an apartment near the store where she works. Mahmoud Selim questions a director that is an acquaintance of Nadia to learn about her relationship with Riad.

Rita and Soaad admire Riad's love for his father. Mamdouh tells Mahmoud Selim that he broke off his contract with Nadia because she asked for an unreasonable salary.

Critics cast aspersions on Zeinat's latest movie. Nadia thanks Riad for his help. Riad confesses love to Rita and gifts her with a precious ring. Fotna is enraged at Riad's mistreatment of her and his coldness towards her; she vows to take revenge on him.

Mahmoud Selim learns that Qesmat genuinely loved and trusted Riad. Fotna tries to determine the reason behind Riad's sudden indifference towards her.

Elhamy tells Qesmat he is still passionately in love with her. Soaad's mother asks Rita to convince Soaad to marry her cousin. Fotna finds a letter from Hassan to Soaad, and she gets madly jealous.

Sherifa urges Mohammed to pay attention not to be caught by the political police, and Mohammed tells her he loves her. Riad suspects that Qesmat is cheating on him. Zeinat threatens Nadia to expel her from the theater. Riad's grip on the hotel tightens as he fires Morgan.

Qesmat experiences difficulties with her husband who is growing cold with her, and her mother who still refuses to meet her and regards her as a disgrace to the family.

Sarhan threatens Aida to tell Syriacus that she works with Merry in gambling. Qesmat feels helpless and desperate. Riad threatens Fotna to throw her out of the hotel.

Riad plots to have Tata murdered, especially after she overheard his conversation with Fotna. The doctor tells Qesmat that she's perfectly well and she has no reproductive problems. Tata is poisoned. Nadia gets a leading role in a movie.

Riad urges Fotna to act normal to steer clear of suspicion. Riad gets angry about Rita's relationship with Mounir, so he returns to his wife and he notices her despair. Sherifa is getting closer to Mohammed, and she fears her husband, Kamal Pasha, might find out.

Rita tries to get close with Hassan, and she blames him for his relationship with Soaad. Riad, meanwhile, tries to regain Rita's confidence in him. Mahmoud Selim learns that Aida was transferred from the orphanage to a care unit due to stealing.

Rita tells Riad she loves him. Mounir breaks up with Margaret because he loves Rita. Qesmat resorts to the clergy to find a cure for her.

Qesmat and Riad learn that Mohammed and Sherifa are having a relationship. Qesmat asks Riad to divorce her. Fotna asks Rose to teach her to read and write. Aida keeps an eye on Mamdouh at Riad's request.

Fotna and Hassan get close again. Aida gets closer to producer Mamdouh, hoping she will make her way into the artistic community. Qesmat urges Sherifa to break up with Mohammed. Mahmoud Selim asks Mounir about his involvement with Rita and hence with Riad.

Sherifa talks her mother into improving the way she treats Qesmat. Riad recalls his love for Kamilia and how she left the country and left him. Nadia refuses to get back to Mourad. Rita's uncle returns from abroad.

Khamis, Aida's ex-husband, tries to know her whereabouts, but Aida refuses to return to him. Qesmat's mother indeed treats her daughter gently now. Riad warns Rita against her uncle. Syriacus proposes to Aida.

Mahmoud Selim's daughter gets ill and the doctor suspects she has tuberculosis. Fotna accepts to marry Hanafi. Producer Sobhi Sadeq takes the risk and decides to produce a film starring Nadia. Sherifa vows to take revenge on Mohammed for cheating on her.

Mahmoud Selim tries to hold himself together in the wake of his daughter's illness. Sherifa decides to get a divorce. Qesmat's wishes are thwarted as she learns her pregnancy is an ectopic pregnancy.

Riad meets Fekry, Rita's uncle and tries to win him over. Fotna questions Riad's relationship with Nadia, and he swears it's only about business. A midwife convinces Aida to get pregnant and sell her baby after delivery.

Riad tells Fekry he could get the address of his wife and daughter in London. Fotna threatens Riad to expose all his foul deeds to Rita, but he turns the table on her as he reminds her she poisoned Tata. Rose overhears their conversation. Syriacus reports Aida to the police after his shop gets robbed.

Following Sobhy's death, Nadia's mental state worsens. Rita learns the truth about Riad and learns that he has never owned an antique store. Riad convinces Syriacus to get Aida out of prison.

Fathia asks Ismail to murder Riad, and then she meets Qesmat to inform her that she is Riad's first wife. Rose confesses that Riad and Fotna plotted for murdering Tata and deceiving her daughter Rita. It is also reported that Riad convinced Qesmat that she has reproductive problems.

Accounts of murdering Riad contradict since Aida claims she stabbed Riad because he ruined her life, Rita says she murdered him because he has deceived her, and Fotna confesses to putting poison in his food.

The forensic report increases the confusion regarding Riad's murder; it wasn't the snake that killed him, nor was it the fire. Feryal, meanwhile, alleges that Qesmat murdered Riad, which Qesmat doesn't deny.

Each woman of the five insists that it was her who murdered Riad. Mahmoud's wife reproaches him for paying so much attention to Riad's death that he has forgotten about his sick daughter.

Amany, Mounir's sister, informs Mahmoud that Riad and Rita indeed had some disputes. Hassan confirms that Fotna didn't kill Riad, and it was Rita who poisoned him.

It turns out that the five women unanimously contributed to murder Riad, and each of them had a role to play, even if they haven't plotted for this together. Rita put a snake, then Aida stabbed him, then Fotna poisoned him, then Qesmat stabbed him once more, and finally, Nadia set fire to his house.
