During the Arab Spring, the Tunisian Nazir, who is married to the pregnant Dutch hairdresser Kimmy is forced to escape to Europe. However, he ends up in Lampedusa, imprisoned as an illegal refugee. The couple does everything in their hands to reunite for the birth of their son, Rafaël.
