The story revolves around a poor government worker who develops feelings for the manager's daughter. However, because of his poverty and the manager's and society's mistreatment of him, he has a lot of disappointments and setbacks in this relationship. He encounters the harsh reality and attempts to flee through a dream, but this dream eventually devolves into a hallucination and a state of madness.
