After ending up in Syria, TC tries to find Syd, whom the rebels abducted. Meanwhile, Jordan and Drew dauntlessly embark on a rescue mission, and Paul must cope with the ramifications of opposing his father.

The ER staff attend to the victims of a serious amusement park accident. As Jordan attempts to placate Julian and get Paul his job back, she receives terrible news. Elsewhere, TC is still trying to save Syd.

TC clashes with Amira over the treatment of a Syrian kid. Elsewhere, Drew and Paul try to find out the reason behind the symptoms that might cause a patient to lose a hand, while Annie unexpectedly pays Scott a visit.

Scott tries to help a patient despite her religious grandfather's objection to her undergoing surgery. As Drew attempts to handle his duties as a new father, he gets help from an unexpected source. Meanwhile, Jordan and Cain come to the aid of an injured veteran.

On his way back home on a plane with his mom and Rick, Drew has to deal with an emergency situation as the passengers get sick one after the other. Elsewhere, Jordan, Paul, Shannon, Kenny, and Cain attend a fundraiser, while TC tries to treat a soldier, risking his own life in the process.

As Kenny accompanies Drew to one of his MMA classes, things get out of hand. Jordan and Cain tend the victims of a fire that broke out in a hotel. Dr. Bella Cummings, Paul's sister, arrives at the hospital on a visit. TC comes back from Syria.

During the funeral of Mac, protestors show up, and an altercation occurs, causing many veterans to get injured, after which they are taken to San Antonio Memorial. As a senator arrives for treatment at the hospital, TC, Scott, and Drew clash over how to treat him.

The computer system in San Antonio Memorial gets hacked, throwing the hospital into a state of turmoil. Meanwhile, as TC tags along with Rick on a SWAT drug bust, he starts contemplating the idea of returning to Syria.

While on a raid with a SWAT team, TC comes upon some ill immigrants, one of whom is homicidal. Elsewhere, Scott endeavors to make a good impression on Colonel Parnell in an attempt to have him set up a combat medical training program in San Antonio.

As a shooting occurs at a college close by, TC, Jordan, Drew, and Amira join Rick in dealing with the situation. Meanwhile, the new training program that Scott started causes him to clash with Julian.
