As Farouk finds a way to locate his body, Ptonomy sends David on a journey to retrieve the body first, leaving David and Syd to confront some uncomfortable discoveries.

With David trapped in the desert, Amy pushes Lenny to help him. Melanie's reasons for attacking Clark are revealed.

When Syd vanishes, Farouk uses her disappearance against David as Melanie tries to turn Syd against him. Farouk makes his final move to regain his full powers.

As David and Farouk go at each other, Syd is forced to make a choice in light of what she learned about David, but the latter takes drastic measures that threaten to lose him the support of his allies.
