Hasouna spoils his pregnant wife Hayat, he brings her a maid, but she turns out to be a failure at cooking. As he interviews a girl for a job, he mistakenly believes that she is going to be working at the store, only it turns out she wants to be a maid.
As the maid prepares breakfast, Hasouna and Hayat are unable to eat since the food is ill-prepared. Hasouna brings a roasted chicken for dinner, but Hayat eats it by herself. Al-Fahem quarrels with Babousha and sets up a sandwich stand in front of Babousha's shop. Hayat fires the maid.
When Al-Fahem tries to put up a photo of Khamisa, he ends up ruining the wall. As Hayat grows ill, she asks her husband to look for a new maid. Babousha prepares the house to receive Khamisa. Fatma and Al-Mongy come to stay with Hayat.
Al-Mongy is upset that he can not find Hagla. Fatma promises to stay with Hayat until she gives birth. As Al-Mongy's psychological state deteriorates, he kicks Hasouna out. Hasouna is concerned about Al-Mongy's mental state. Al-Mongy raises animals in his room, which infuriates Hasouna.
Al-Mongy scares Hasouna with the rat he is keeping in his room. He also enters his and Hayat's room with no notice. Al-Fahem and Babousha continue to clash. As Hasouna hires Rahma to work at the store, Al-Mongy admires her. Al-Mongy tricks Hasouna into renting a house for a cheap price.
Al-Fahem admires Dersaf who works at the cafe. When Al-Fahem asks Babousha to cook dinner, the latter grows wroth since he is already busy washing clothes. Al-Mongy is thrilled when Hagla arrives at Hayat's house. Hayat grows jealous of Rahma. Fatma asks Al-Mongy to look after Hagla.
Hagla asks Al-Mongy to have Fatma influence her mother to let Hagla stay in Tunisia. Hayat suspects that Hasouna is having an affair with Rahma. When a neighbor brings food for Babousha, Al-Fahem eats it and makes fun of Babousha. Al-Fahem's father arrives for a visit.
Fatma asks Hasouna to find a job for Al-Mongy. Hasouna brings a doctor for Hayat when she falls ill. Al-Eid wants Babousha to wed Khamisa. Rahma tries to rob Hasouna. Al-Eid starts to suspect that Babousa is a womanizer and his many relationships are the reason he refuses to wed.
Babousha agrees with Al-Eid to get married the following week. Rahma tries to get close to Hasouna, who blows her off. Hasouna's relatives arrive from Alegeria for a visit. Al-Mongy tries to frighten one of the visiting women, who tries to convince Hagla to wed.
Khamisa disliked Babousha's house. Al-Fahem returns from the village. Hagla and Babousha go to visit Hayat. Al-Fahem shows Khamisa a hedgehog and asks her to determine if it's a male or a female. Hagla expresses how impressed she is with Hasouna's house.
Hasouna wants to return the goat to Al-Fahem, which angers Babousha who can not stand the goat. Hagla meets Merzak in Hasouna's office. Al-Mongy's uncle arrives from Sfax to attend Hagla's engagement party.
Khamisa visits Hayat and discusses Babousha with her. As Khamisa declares that she is going to seek a Sheikh to put a spell on Babousha, Hayat takes interest in the idea. Hagla announces her admiration for Merzak. When Rahma asks Hasouna for money to fix her car, Babousha warns him about her.
Hayat and Fatma refuse to speak to Hasouna. As Hayat demands that he fires Rahma, Hasouna discovers that Rahma is a fraud. Al-Fahem defrauds Al-Mongy and gives him a recipe to drink, claiming that he got it from a Sheikh. Hagla discovers that Merzak doesn't want to get married.
As Al-Mongy's psychological state deteriorates, Hasouna looks for a psychiatrist for him. Al-Mongy goes to the cafe, but his condition continues to worsen to the point of talking to himself. As he starts imagining that the former president has been reinstated, Khamisa tries to help him.
Khamisa visits Hayat to try and help Al-Mongy. Hagla rejects her Algerian friend whose behavior stupefies her. As Hayat goes into labor, Hasouna rushes her to the hospital, where she gives birth to a boy.
