Abigail's confession that she doesn't want to go to college upsets Madeline. Bonnie considers turning herself in to the police as she exhibits neurotic behavior. Celeste has nightmares where she sees Perry.

With Gordon falling deep into legal trouble, Renata's future is put on the line. Celeste confides in Mary Louise about her and Perry's relationship, while Madeline is shocked when Ed confronts her about the secrets she is hiding.

Renata learns that Amabella has been having anxiety attacks at school. Jane refuses Mary Louise's proposal to run a paternity test as she is unsure about Ziggy's lineage. To salvage their marriage, Madeline and Ed consider couples therapy.

Celeste slaps Mary Louise when the latter insinuates that Perry only wanted her for refuge, prompting Mary Louise to take a new course of action. Ed and Madeline's attempts to save their marriage prove futile, while Renata and Gordon's bankruptcy hearing turns out disastrous.

As Celeste refuses joint custody with Mary Louise, Renata tries to help out. At school, Ziggy is bullied by a boy who says his father is a rapist. Bonnie continues to think about turning herself in.

Celeste is blindsided when Mary Louise's lawyer asks her painful questions at court. Bonnie wonders if she can rid herself of her guilt and help her mother out. Corey tells Jane that the police asked him about the night Perry died.

Celeste questions Mary Louise about the death of Perry's brother, and Celeste gets full custody. Ed and Madeline renew their vows. Bonnie eventually decides to confess, and the four women go to the police station with her.
