As a mother and daughter are very close to each other, the daughter struggles with keeping a secret from her mother. As the mother meddles in her daughter's personal life, the father isn't too thrilled when he learns that his daughter invited her mother for her 21st birthday.

Kathy's interference causes a problem in the marriage of her daughter Cristina. Sunhe feels left out as Angelica starts a new chapter in her life. Cher and Dawn are keeping a secret from everyone.

Sandra steals the show on her daughter's birthday. As Cher and Jared are expecting their new baby, Dawn wants to have a say in everything related to the baby. Sunhe further interferes in Angelica and Jason's lives.

As Sandra and Mariah patch things up, they decide to go on a double date. Kathy and Cristina let Carly down. Dawn turns the attention to her as she goes with Cher and Jared for their sonogram.

Angelica decides to spend some quality time with her mother. Dawn helps Cher settle in and prepare the baby's room. Kathy accompanies Cristina for her breast implant consultation.

As Angelica decides to break up with Jason, Sunhe comes along. When Dawn surprises Cher with a Lamaze class, Jared isn't too thrilled about it. Kathy causes a problem between Cristina and her husband.

Things spiral out of control when Mariah goes with her mother to a photoshoot. Cristina meets her in-laws, as her mother accompanies her. Cher's mom feels neglected as her daughter plans her gender reveal party.

After someone proposes to Angelica, she decides to follow her heart. Mariah and Sandra are left to deal with the consequences following their photoshoot. Dawn is upset after learning that Cher revealed the gender of the baby to someone else before her.
