When Dr. Gillespie is called in to consult on the case of a young man called Roy Todwell, he recognizes that Todwell is mentally ill, but the diagnosis is rejected by Todwell's parents. Unable to get the help he needs, Todwell's condition goes downhill and he sets out to kill Dr. Gillespie.
