Raymond returns to his family after problems with the law. He encounters the broken-hearted widow Crystal, who fascinates him with her beauty. He asks the sheriff to put him in a job where he can watch the widow. During his relationship with her, a love story arises, but Raymond is unaware that Crystal is engaged to his brother Claude.
