A Texas town where no one has left starts attracting tourists. After the fortune-teller Isaac foretells a horrible event in John's future, John and three firefighters set fire to his residence. Nora, Jill, and Lily move in next door to the Murphys. Kevin and the Murphys witness a strange occurrence.

In the aftermath of the Mapleton riots, Kevin, Nora, and Jill strive to pick themselves up. Meanwhile, Nora takes a rash decision by buying an auctioned house in Miracle for $3 million. Kevin becomes enmeshed in the Murphys' hardships.

Laurie and Tom go around the country deprogramming GR members, but things don't go as planned. Laurie thinks about publishing a book about her experiences in the GR, which she thinks will bring the GR to its knees. As Tom gains access to the cult, new issues are revealed.

Nora awakens in the middle of an earthquake in Miracle and discovers that Kevin has gone missing. The Murphys strive to deal with Evie's disappearance. As Kevin returns home with no recollection of the previous night, Patti tells him that he attempted to kill himself, and an old nemesis reappears.

Reverend Matt and his unawake wife, Mary, embark on a perilous journey out of Miracle. Matt offers assistance to a man and his young son whose car broke down on the side of the road while they're on their way back from Austin.

When an unexpected guest arrives at Jarden, Nora and Erika are forced to confront unpleasant questions regarding their departed children. Later, Kevin's dilemma becomes too much to bear, and he confides in Erika.

Kevin and Jill receive unexpected news from Nora. Laurie makes a hasty choice regarding GR members. As Kevin considers his alternatives while dealing with an issue, he makes a shocking decision.

Kevin is at a crossroads when he is forced to assassinate presidential nominee Patti Levin, after which he is taken aback when he discovers that she is not the real Patti.

In a flashback, Meg's mother dies, and she feels that her ability to grieve has been taken away from her. Meg pays a visit to Isaac and asks him what her mother was about to tell her before she died. In the present, Meg plans a more forceful attack. Meanwhile, Tom wants to meet Meg again.

Kevin tells John the truth about his involvement in Evie's disappearance. On the fourth anniversary of the Departure, Miracle confronts an unexpected challenge.
