As Nesrine runs away to wed Naguib, she ends up dealing with poverty and estrangement from her family. Her twin sister Sherine lives happily with her husband Feras, though it seems like she is keeping her suffering a secret. Their father decides to write all his properties over to Sherine alone.

As Sherine invites Naguib and Nesrine to dinner, Naguib hears his wife telling Sherine that she has fallen out of love with him. The father suffers a terrible nightmare that involves his daughters. Naguib leaves the house. Feras and Sherine agree that she has an abortion.

Sherine informs Nesrine that she was pregnant but aborted the baby. Thinking that it's Sherine on the phone, her father informs her that he wrote his fortune over to her. The mother discovers that Sherine has a drug problem just before she and her two daughters get in an accident.

Sherine passes away but Nesrine survives. When Feras mistakes her for Sherine, Nesrine decides to assume her sister's identity. Her mother wakes up and nearly exposes the truth. Nesrine is terrified when she sees her sister's ghost. Feras gives Nesrine his credit card.

Thinking that she is his wife, Feras sleeps with Nesrine and leaves her in pain. The mother turns on Nesrine for assuming her sister's identity. Feras takes Nesrine to a hotel and asks her to pleasure a guy for money. She feigns sickness to get out of the situation, before admitting the truth.

Feras informs Nesrine that he knew the truth all along before forcing her to sleep with the guy. The mother refuses to believe Nesrine when she reveals the truth about Feras. It's revealed that Nesrine dreamt everything up while in a coma, and that both her mother and sister survived the accident.
