Rick and Morty visit Forbodulon Prime, an extraterrestrial planet, to gather death crystals, which reveal the potential outcomes of each possible death when touched. Morty develops an obsession with a specific future, while Rick keeps dying while attempting to return to his world.

While Rick is absent, Jerry defies Rick's clear instructions and asks his new intern Glootie to create an app for him. Rick is incensed to learn that the alien is using the private bathroom he made in a beautiful realm for his personal use.

Rick and Morty learn that the treasure has been taken from them by Miles Knightly, a skilled theft expert, while on a treasure hunt in an alien temple, upon which Rick gathers a team to enter HeistCon and confront Miles.

Morty can now finally have a pet dragon thanks to Rick's concession, but things don't go as planned when a wizard creates a soul contract between Morty and the dragon Balthromaw. Meanwhile, Jerry encounters a creepy talking cat.

Rick and Morty's ship experiences a flat tire on one of their intergalactic adventures. Morty has a potentially fatal snake bite while they are making repairs, which sets off a challenging, time-traveling encounter with a civilization of snakes.

Aboard the Story Train, a plot device, Rick and Morty find themselves with strange passengers who are all delivering progressively crazy stories involving Rick.

Rick and Morty come face to face with extraterrestrials who also happen to own an M&M's business after going on a trip with Summer.

Rick and Morty deal special jewels in a mission-related trade with extraterrestrial gangsters. However, when they turn on them, Rick fakes his and Morty's deaths by diving into a fake acid vat.

As Rick, Morty, Beth, Summer, and Jerry embark on a galactic adventure, Rick learns that he may have impregnated Gaia, a sentient planet, deterring Jerry from his plan to take the family on a camping trip.

When Beth learns that she has a clone, she and Jerry see Dr. Wong for family therapy while Morty and Summer quarrel about Rick's invisibility belt. Space Beth confronts Rick, who reveals that the other Beth claims she is the clone.
