Dan interviews Selina on CBS This Morning, and the latter informs her loved ones that she intends to run for president once more. Buddy Calhoun, a candidate for governor of Nevada, and Amy get engaged.

President Hughes' library opens with Selina in attendance. Dan endures Jane's whims, Amy runs an attack ad, and Jonah receives guidance on how to advance in the political world.

In addition to being reunited with an old acquaintance, Selina assists in monitoring Georgia's first democratic election. While Jonah and Richard enjoy an eventful night out, Mike and Gary conceal evidence of a significant accident.

While Amy struggles to secure a location for Selina's library, Dan tries to keep things positive with his co-host Jane. Selina and her staff attend the funeral of a Supreme Court justice.

Selina chooses a spot for her presidential library and collaborates with Mike on her book. Jonah seeks to secure a significant donation, Gary controls a minor issue at Madame Tussauds, and Dan ends up in a gossip column.

Selina travels to Qatar, Jonah receives a dinner invitation in Washington, D.C., Dan gets a surprise visit from a human resources representative, and Catherine and Marjorie have important news.

While she waits for her portrait unveiling ceremony, Selina works hard to finish her book. Jonah is currently attempting to get on Selina's event invitation list. Dan makes an effort to fix the chemistry issue on screen.

Dan tries to charm Jonah out of a highly sought-after interview. Elsewhere, Selina goes on vacation and gets persuaded by Amy to take care of an unorganized Mike.

The publication of Selina's book coincides with the publication of a critical account of her tenure in government that was produced using Mike's misplaced journal. Dan's broadcast career and Jonah's political career both fail.

Selina is getting ready to start building her presidential library. Dan is informed by Amy she is pregnant by him. Jonah and Selina choose to run for president. Selina gives birth to a son, whom she names Richard.
