After a string of disturbing incidents, Fiona takes a break from her job and personal life to unwind at a beach resort with Jackson Pickett. Austen begs her for forgiveness, and Franny Marshall presents the songs for the musical film she's been writing to Fiona.

Fiona starts assisting Franny with her songwriting so that it appears differently in the film. Jerome requests to return to his previous position. Before things become too serious, Fiona tries to call it quits with Jackson.

The songs Fiona and Franny have co-written for Lady Gaga lead to several events as the show loses its backers. Fiona attempts to obtain a video from Robin that would demonstrate her innocence as she realizes that the new investor is Jackson.

As Fiona realizes she needs the passwords to the campaign money account because the filming of the musical has been put on hold indefinitely, she finds the passwords in a briefcase that a hoarder bought. Gina talks about her upcoming nuptials with Fiona.

Richard reveals his actual affection for Robin and informs Fiona of his new job when she receives the passwords and is made aware of some unusual Austen footage by Robin.

Blair and Augie, a couple who only interact with each other online, see Fiona for therapy. Richard and Robin sign up for the witness protection program.

Having a problem with internet gambling, Nick Jericho reaches out to Fiona. Against Fiona's suggestions, Augie and Blair meet. A woman who is having difficulty with an office romance sees Fiona for counseling.

Fiona's lover in college Chris, who underwent a gender-affirming surgery, calls to request the return of 20 years' worth of alimony payments. Fiona receives excellent news from Sylvie about her office romance. Gina experiences labor.

Putsy informs Fiona that she is writing a book on senior abuse, and Chris tries to have a show containing on-air humiliating footage of Fiona. Jerome receives important news that will alter his life.

Fiona gets informed by Austen of their potential new way of life. Jerome suffers a financial windfall. Putsy demands that she reside in Fiona's home. The book's publicist meets with Fiona and breaks the disturbing news.
