The emerging threats prompt Harvey and Samantha to do their damndest to keep Zane's name on the wall, while Alex warns Louis of the consequences of what they are doing. Samantha threatens to report to the Bar what they are up to if Robert's name gets removed.

Faye Richardson, a Bar representative, takes control of the firm and starts practicing her authority. She strips Samantha from the right to use the company's resources for a case. Louis lands in a tight spot when Faye finds out he is looking for a loophole to drive her out of the firm.

Faye strips Louis from his position as a managing partner. Simultaneously, a friend of his offers him a position as a judge. Samantha and Alex try to join forces in an attempt to find a legal way to get rid of Faye's control. Donna and Harvey take Louis's side and promise to always support him.

Faye decides to take action against Donna and Harvey's relationship by labeling it a conflict of interest, as she gives Donna an ultimatum. Louis finds out that Faye asked Katrina to rewrite the firm's code of conduct, a fact that Louis makes use of.

As Mike returns to New York City and picks a fight with Harvey, things go unexpectedly wrong when Samantha gets involved and fabricates evidence to prove Mike wrong. As Faye learns about it, she fires Samantha. Donna tells Katrina she needs to find herself first in order to get over Brian.

When Harvey and Louis find a way to get back at Faye through her ex-husband, they decide to make use of it to get rid of her and bring Samantha back, while Samantha advises them not to play it low-down.

Harvey and Samantha travel to Pittsburgh to meet Samantha's biological father. Louis pretends to be Harvey as he meets a possible client. Donna surprises Harvey when she gets him a painting by his mother, and Harvey softens and decides to call his mother.

When an old feud re-emerges, Harvey is forced to account for past actions, but he eventually beats his nemesis, Malik, and sends him to prison. Meanwhile, Louis's sister, Esther, has a problem that only Louis can solve, but not when his emotions cloud his judgment.

Harvey's mom passes away, and at her funeral, Donna has a word with Mike and convinces him to collaborate with Samantha to bring Faye down. However, as Katrina interferes to help the firm, she jeopardizes it instead and things get far more complicated.

As the trial continues, the firm is subjected to potential destruction. Harvey tells Mike he has never stopped trusting him, and they try to figure a way to get rid of Faye. Gretchen gets Faye to sign a document, admitting to a witness tampering, and Harvey tells Faye he'll do what she wants.
