Al-Mokhtar marries two women, but they soon pass away, leaving him a huge fortune of land and money, as well as three children. When the children grow up and demand their inheritance, he says he used the fortune to pay off his debts. He also writes the house over to the Sheikha, whom he wants to marry.
When blood stains are found in Al-Mokhtar's office, his children suspect he was robbed and murdered. The police investigate the three boys; Selim for having threatened to kill his father, Karim for having a criminal record, and Rashid for being anxiously nervous.
Seif is arrested on charges of murdering Al-Mokhtar. When Amira questions Karim about Seif and Rashid's disagreement, Karim tells Amira that Seif is innocent. Rashid asks Aida to turn the house over to them, or he will sue her.
Seif's lawyer manages to acquit him, but he is prevented from leaving Morocco. Aida proposes to split the house between herself and the boys, but Seif rejects her offer. Karim stays at the place of a man called Saleh.
When Amal threatens to tell the hospital manager that Rashid is mentally ill and cannot practice medicine, Rashid threatens to reveal her pregnancy if she dares to do so. As Rashid runs into a woman who looks like his mother, he recalls how his mother hanged herself to death.
Amira interrogates Amal about Seif, and Amal affirms he is a good-hearted person; he can never be a murderer. Karim and Seif want to hold their father's funeral at home, but they quarrel with Aida. Amal gets mad at Seif and refuses to talk to him.
Amira feels bad for catching feelings for Seif. Meanwhile, Seif decides to stay away from Amal. Rashid's mental health worsens as he recalls childhood memories, bringing his traumas back to the surface. Karim is beaten up, and the family searches for him when he goes missing.
Following their quarrel, Seif's uncle dies, and Seif swears to Amal he didn't kill him. Seif hides at the hospital and tells Amal that he was married and had a baby. He promises not to leave her or the baby. Amira arrests Seif. An unstable Rashid ventures into the streets calling for his father.
Sa'ad interrogates Seif on the death of his father and uncle, but he denies all charges. When Rashid is hospitalized, it turns out he has cancer. Saleh keeps the girl who works at the prisoners' rehabilitation center hostage. Sa'ad finds smuggled antiquities in the warehouse.
Karim quarrels with his friend. Saleh is arrested. Sa'ad still finds Seif to be the culprit. The hospital manager encourages Rashid to undergo surgery. Karim watches a video dating back to his childhood when his family celebrated his birthday.
Karim tells his friend Mostafa that he loves Saleh's daughter and wants to wed her. Rashid resumes his job at the hospital. Seif is freed. Aida moves into Seif's place.
It turns out that Seif and Aida had a past romance before she married Al-Mokhtar. When Karim learns about it, his suspicions about Seif being the murderer mount. Aida helps Seif get the camera tapes to prove his innocence.
Seif tries to uncover the truth. Sa'ad gets mad when he learns about the camera tapes and urges him not to do anything without collaborating with the police. Seif questions Saleh about Karim. Rashid dismisses Aida's proposal that they split the house.
A young man called Rayan arrives at the organization, and Karim sends him to the theater department. Sa'ad and Amira tell Seif that he is on his own in the case. Rashid meets a fellow nurse and tries to learn more about his manager.
Rayan kills Lina and frames Seif for it. Mostafa, Karim's friend, confesses to murdering Al-Mokhtar, and he is arrested. Rashid exposes the manager's corruption and embezzlement, hoping to get his job.
Karim is arrested. Rashid becomes the new manager of the hospital. Aida leaves the house, which saddens Seif. Karim and his friend are released from prison. In an attempt to lift up his spirits, Karim starts to practice sports.
When Seif's mother comes all the way from Italy to meet him, he treats her coldly. When his mother begs for his forgiveness, Seif thinks she is Al-Mokhtar's murderer. Karim reconciles with Seif and Aida.
Seif believes Karim incited Rayan to kill Lina. Rashid quits his job at the hospital to do a journalistic report. Aida befriends Warda.
Saleh vanishes into thin air after his release from prison. Karim is beaten up and hospitalized. Sa'ad tells Rashid he was mistaken to accuse him of murder. Aida refuses to return to work at the nightclub.
When Rashid leaves Laila and decides to marry Amal, a furious Laila quarrels with Amal and beats her. Rashid takes Amal to stay with Aida, much to Seif's surprise.
Seif, Rashid, and Karim have a car accident. The police try to find Rayan.
Rashid and Amal get married. Seif ceaselessly tries to find his father's murderer. Karim turns down Aida's attempts to get close to him. Sa'ad and Amira still believe Karim to be the murderer.
Rashid sleeps with Warda but soon feels remorseful. Rashid loses a patient undergoing surgery. Aida and Seif's love is rekindled. Karim and Mostafa start working at a hotel.
Rashid becomes hysterical after the death of his patient, and Seif tries to calm him down. The patient's husband accuses Rashid of murdering his wife, but Rashid stands his ground and insists it's a medical error.
Rashid grows increasingly nervous, and Amal has no clue what's stressing him out. A colleague of Rashid's advises him to stop practicing medicine. Amal is hospitalized; she tells Warda she thinks Rashid has fallen out of love with her.
Warda sees blood on Rashid's clothes as he calls out his father's name. Amira accepts to wed Seif. The police arrest Rashid on charges of killing his father, and Amal gives birth on the same day of his arrest.
Upon his release, Rashid meets his brothers. He decides to move to the countryside and leaves Amal and the baby with Warda. Things grow tense between Rashid and Amal, and he starts seeing a therapist.
At the hospital, Rashid meets Amal and promises never to give up on her. Aida wants to sell the house, while Warda refuses to. Karim confesses to murdering his father and is arrested.
Seif finds Aida dead in the bathroom, but he finds a video which she recorded prior to her death, confessing to murdering Al-Mokhtar. Rashid returns home with his wife.
Warda tells Rashid the whole truth. She reveals that Aida was forced to record the video confessing to the crime, but she didn't murder Al-Mokhtar. It was Warda who murdered Al-Mokhtar for raping her mother. She also killed Aida and put her dead body in the bathtub.
