Robert searches for work and a new residence after the divorce is finalized. Frances struggles with sleeplessness and her increasingly nuanced connection with her kids. Dallas maintains her covert liaison with Robert's lawyer, Tony Silvercreek.

Lila is becoming more and more resentful of Frances. Robert gets back in touch with Janice, who tries to fulfill a desire for him, and Dallas makes an attempt to cut ties with Tony Silvercreek.

Diane tries to ignore her issues with Nick by concentrating on her work at the gallery. Robert runs upon a fierce and attractive real estate agent, while Frances makes an effort to track down an unknown painter.

Robert and Frances rejoin in Ohio after Robert's father becomes ill. There, they struggle with Robert's controlling sister, Cathy, and remember better times. Tom is thrilled to have the opportunity to drive Diane's fancy car.

In an attempt to learn more about the new lady Robert is seeing, Frances asks Dallas and Diane to do research on her before Lila's birthday.

Robert and Frances meet with their marriage counselor once more to establish new guidelines for the kids. While Frances considers her relationship with Andrew, Jackie meets Dallas by coincidence and asks for help.

Skip Zakarian expresses interest in things other than art at Sylvia's impending show, and Robert becomes worried when Jackie suggests they collaborate on a house-flipping venture.

Robert and Jackie make progress in their real estate business. Frances manages the aftermath of a resounding gallery opening and enlists Robert's assistance for a house renovation project. Diane embarks on a wild spree in response to a favor Frances has returned.
