When people are exposed to assault in Central Park, Special Victims Unit is summoned to question the accused, who tries to convince them of his innocence in vain. After the real offender is found, the man files a lawsuit against the squad, upon which the community no longer believes in the police.

After he is discharged from juvenile detention since eight years, Henry Mesner is back in town, much to SVU's distress that he might threaten New York's safety and security.

By virtue of Garland's request, Benson intervenes to investigate a domestic abuse case, in which Garland's neighbor was found with several wounds, only for Benson and the squad to be stunned when suspicions swirl around Garland's neighbor's wife.

SVU teams up with a homeless woman who seeks help, as she is being trafficked by a group of offenders who offered her a fancy house in return, while they must do whatever it takes to catch the culprits. Meanwhile, Fin and Phoebe are getting ready to tie the knot.
