Despite winning the state championship, Spencer must make a decision that might damage his image. Billy also has to make some significant adjustments in order to get his life back to normal. Grace and Corey also have a serious discussion concerning their family.

Spencer is undecided about where to play football, so when he finds out who Corey has recruited to the squad, he is shocked. Meanwhile, Coop rediscovers her voice via music.

As Olivia unwillingly joins the Sola Muse group, Spencer provides his father with a final decision for his new player. Coop participates in freestyle combat, and Layla continues to act unlike herself.

As Layla is approached by Spencer to discuss her actions, Billy, Corey, and Grace's high school reunion raises unresolved issues. Asher goes to Olivia for assistance when a person he used to know requests to meet him.

Spencer is made to eat dinner with Cliff Mosley while Layla acts as if things are OK and plans birthday parties for Olivia and Jordan.

Players become agitated during the exhibition 7-on-7 rematch between the Beverly Eagles and South Crenshaw. As Olivia and Asher want to learn what the future has in store for them, Coop looks for Layla to assist her with her new song.

Spencer, Grace, Dillon, and Darnell embark on a search for Corey, while Billy sets up a consultation appointment with a family therapist for his family so they can move forward.

 Layla offers Spencer some advice, Jordan receives some surprising information, and Asher receives an explanation from his parents on what transpired over the previous year.

Spencer strives to spend time with Dillon by working together to sell tickets for Coop's event, but they wind up being stopped by the police instead. Layla develops a friendship with a new acquaintance.

Spencer overprotects Coop as a result of Tyrone being back on the streets. Coop and Patience attempt to resume their relationship before Coop's jealousy rears its head.

Spencer is in a horrible position, and the Crenshaw and Beverly Hills communities come together to support him. Spencer asks Coop to help him out, but things only get worse.

Spencer, Darnell, and Jordan attend a college football program in an effort to ensure their futures in the field. Billy and Grace fear that Spencer is working himself too hard, and Olivia thinks that Asher is doing the same.

In order to impress recruiters, Spencer is eager to return to football. Layla is enthusiastic about her and Coop's music, but Coop is preoccupied with what is happening on the streets.

As Laura worries about Jordan's relationship with Simone, Spencer worries that Coop isn't taking anything properly, and asks for Layla some assistance. Billy also takes a difficult decision to safeguard his team.

As Olivia and Asher feel guilty about Billy, Spencer works around Billy to achieve what he wants. Coop gets a surprising offer, and Jordan attempts to make life simple for Simone.

Spencer and his pals resolve to take action when they learn that South Crenshaw could become a magnet school. Billy takes a choice that everyone finds unexpected.
