The events take place in Street 9 in Maadi. Marihan, a drug addict, is married to Nayer, a petroleum engineer, and her father disapproves of the marriage. Meanwhile, drug counsellor Ragia is unable to give birth and has problems with her husband Hassan due to her constant involvement with her patients.

Ragia discovers Hassan has married another woman due to her inability to conceive, so she asks for a divorce. Nayer is suspicious of Marihan because she spends lots of money. Friends Raef, Hosna, Walid, and Hossam meet at their neighbor George's barbecue.

Thabet survives but is unable to walk again. Marihan steals money from Nayer and gives it to Hend to buy drugs, and the latter is arrested. Policeman Moataz takes on Thabet's case, and Raef accuses Emad Wasfi of the attempted murder of his father.

Nayer discovers Marihan has been stealing from him and they have a huge fight which results in him leaving the house. Meanwhile, Marihan's father Ezz El Din Nadim still won't talk to her ever since she married Nayer, and his right-hand man Radi tries to intervene, but the former won't budge.

After following Marihan, Nayer realizes she is not having an affair. Meanwhile, a patient of Ragia's asks her to help her friend Rasha who has overdosed, and when Ragia rushes to save her, she meets policeman Hossam.

Rasha is saved, and Ragia is released. Ragia's mother Zizi hides her marriage to Nosshi from Ragia and her sister, while Ragia's husband divorces her. Doctors confirm Thabet cannot walk, and Moataz goes to Ragia to take a statement from her.

Nayer returns to Abu Dhabi. Marihan discovers she's pregnant and asks for Ragia's consultation in secret. Thabet is released from the hospital, and Walid is revealed to be having an affair with his wife Heba's friend Abeer. Raef tells his friend Bassem he feels his cousin Nesrin loves him.

Hosna has a hard time with her daughter Reem due to her impulsive behavior, and Reem's friend Sherif steals her clients' money and causes her problems. Meanwhile, Ragia begins counselling Marihan.

Marihan relapses and Ragia saves her. Meanwhile, Raef is at his father's office, trying to look into his most recent cases to identify his assailant when Rawan breaks in to look for evidence.

Raef and Rawan agree to work together to reveal the assailant. Reem confesses to Hosna what Sherif did to her. Nayer begins going out with Lamar, his friend Michel's relative. Ezz El Din's wife Inji turns out to be an addict and Fares, who works for her husband, supplies her with drugs.

An arrest warrant is issued for Reem, who disappears, and Hosna is interrogated. Ragia and Marihan get closer during the latter's recovery journey. Ezz El Din refuses Inji's request to return to her job as a TV presenter. Nayer is suspended from his job due to his negligence.

Mostafa advises Nayer to stay away from Lamar and focus on work. Camellia tells Abeer she knows about her affair with Walid. While scoring drugs, the police raids the place and arrests Marihan and the dealer Marei. Reem is revealed to be hiding with her uncle in Upper Egypt.

Nesrin finds out that Raef still loves Ragia. Ragia goes to Hossam to bail Marihan out but tells her to stay away from her. Emad Wasfi returns to attend his mother's funeral. Inji and Ezz El Din's problems increase because of her desire to return to work.

Mostafa visits Nayer and finds Lamar living with him, and the former tells him he wants to marry her. Rawan tells Raef that Emad Wasfi is back, and that he was a shareholder at the United Holders former company in which his father was involved. A hired assassin breaks into Thabet's villa to kill him.

The police intervenes and stops Thabet's assassination attempt. Ragia is jealous when she sees Rawan with Raef. Nayer is suspended from work for a month with a final warning. Marei is killed in prison.

Abeer tells Hassan that Camellia knows about their relationship, and she feels that she wants to blackmail her, and it turns out that Camellia has placed mics on her friends' dog collars to listen in on them. Marihan is back in rehab alone while Reem is surprised by someone breaking into her bedroom at night.

It turns out that Reem was having a nightmare. Ragia misses Raef, and Lamar refuses to marry Nayer because she feels he still loves Marihan. Inji asks Ezz El Din for a divorce and he refuses. Marihan deteriorates and tries to contact Ragia but can't, so she sends her a message, asking for help.

Ragia saves Marihan and the latter asks if she could continue her recovery at Ragia's house. Camellia blackmails her neighbors with the information she has acquired with the recordings she has.

Nayer marries Lamar and they later get into an accident. Marihan moves in with Ragia to continue her recovery. Inji plans for a new TV program and Ezz El Din assaults her because she insists on divorce, and he later finds out that Emad Wasfi has liquidated all his assets.

Nayer survives the accident and Lamar dies. Raef and Rawan agree to spy on the companies that are involved in the stock exchange case to gather information on the assailant. Abeer is revealed to be married to Walid in secret, and Camellia begins blackmailing her. Inji and her son Tamer flee their house.

Lawyer Mahmoud and Hosna try to find a way to get Reem out of her predicament, and Hosna gets harassed by Reem's former clients. Thabet's mental health deteriorates because of his inability to walk or talk, and Raef confesses to Thabet he still loves Ragia.

A former client of Reem's attempts to assault Hosna and Raef saves her. Nesrin confesses her love to Raef, but he rejects her. Hosna's attempted assault turns out to be plotted by Mahmoud and herself so that she'd disappear. The police raid Reem's house and she escapes.

Ezz El Din assigns Fares with the task of finding Inji and his son, and Inji posts a video stating that Ezz abused her. Hosna leaves her house. Nayer recovers from the accident. Raef and Rawan continue working together on the case, and Emad Wasfi is murdered.

Radi tells Ezz El Din he has discovered where Inji is. The January 25 revolution takes place and the country is quite unstable. Nayer checks up on Marihan and discovers she's left home. Ragia and Marihan grow closer but Ragia is threatened and her car is stolen. Hosna returns home.

Ezz El Din is arrested for the owning an unlicensed gun. Abeer surprises Walid with news of her pregnancy. Marihan goes into labor and Ragia takes Hosna's car and gives the hospital Hosna's ID. Marihan gives birth to Youssef. Inji goes back to work. Hosna is hiding Reem, who is pregnant, in her house.

Fares is working with Inji. Marihan and Youssef are still living with Ragia, and Marihan finds out that Nayer married Lamar. Raef remembers Hosna confessing her love to him the day Ragia married Hassan and him rejecting her.

Marihan has relapsed but is hiding it from Ragia. Hossam has gotten back Ragia's stolen car. Raef and Rawan meet with Rageh Elwan to help them with the case. Ragia comes back from work to find Marihan doing drugs.

Ragia fights with Marihan for relapsing so the latter falls down the stairs and loses consciousness, and the former throws her in the desert. However, Thabet sees her taking the body to the desert. Nayer returns to Egypt.

Nayer discovers Marihan's disappearance and that she hasn't gone to Ezz El Din, and later on discovers her addiction. Ragia goes to the deeds registry to obtain Youssef's birth certificate. Reem has her baby.

Ragia lists herself as the mother on Youssef's birth certificate. Ezz El Din is revealed to have killed Fares's parents when he was a child. Nayer goes to Inji and asks for her help in finding Marihan. Camellia finds out through the recordings that Ragia killed Marihan.

Ragia decides to flee to the UK. Camellia is arrested as she was wanted for previous crimes. Nayer visits Ezz El Din and tells him of Marihan's addiction, after which he meets Inji, who tries to make him grow more suspicious of Marihan. Ezz El Din gets out of prison.

Inji tells Nayer that Marihan gave birth and that Hosna is the one who took her to the hospital, and Hosna is arrested. Nayer and Ezz El Din join forces to search for Marihan. Inji tells Nayer a girl with amnesia in the hospital matches Marihan's description.

The girl is not Marihan, and Hosna is released. Ezz El Din visits Hosna and she remembers leaving a spare key to her car with Ragia. Ezz El Din reconciles with Nayer. Fares decides to kill Raef.

Nayer is still on his search for Marihan, and he also follows Hosna. Meanwhile, Ezz El Din uses his connections to have Inji fired from her job at the network. Ragia travels to the UK.

New elections take place and the reign of the MB is over. Inji is arrested, Fares flees, and Ezz El Din gets his son Tamer back. Reem is sentenced to ten years in prison. Therese, George's wife, dies.

Radi rents a villa for Nayer on Street 9, and later on abducts Fares. However, Ezz El Din sets Fares free because the latter's men kidnapped his son Tamer.

Inji is released and Tamer is back to his father, and Inji goes to visit her son to find him sick. Sobhi gives Zizi diamonds to hide. Fares reveals his true identity to Ezz El Din and tells him he poisoned Tamer and that he won't survive, and Inji faints.

In order to get to know Hosna, Nayer hires someone to break into her house and pretends to rescue her. Tamer dies at the hospital. Zizi's husband is killed and she buries the diamonds in Ragia's garden. After several years, Ragia returns to her home, and Raef surprises Thabet with his wish to marry.

Ragia tells Hosna she got married, gave birth to a boy called Anees, and got divorced because her husband cheated on her. When Hosna asks her if she knew Marihan, Ragia denies it.

Nayer plants a surveillance camera in Hosna's house. Inji's health deteriorates and is hospitalized, and Ezz El Din is severely depressed. Nayer discovers another child with Anees at Hosna's house.

Camellia is released from prison. Zizi and Hoda visit Ragia at home and Hoda is divorced. Nayer breaks into Hosna's house and takes a hair from the child to administer a DNA test. Abeer returns to Maadi after giving birth to a daughter.

Camellia finds out Ragia has returned and decides to blackmail her. The DNA test results come out and Nayer is not the father of the child.

Reem finds out she's been sentenced to 10 years in prison, and begs Hosna to help her travel abroad. Inji begins to respond to rehab therapy. Camellia begins dealing drugs. Nayer holds a farewell party to all residents of Street 9.

Ragia remembers that the man claiming to be called Seif Nayer is Marihan's husband, so she gets rid of Marihan's belongings, but forgets her ID, so Hoda finds it and keeps it.

Camellia confronts Ragia with her murder of Marihan and blackmails her. Thabet begins standing on his feet again. Nayer discovers Reem at the house and reveals his truth to her.

Thabet tries to warn Raef against Ragia. Hossam goes to Ragia to try to identify the drug dealer. Nayer starts to get closer to Ragia. Raef asks for Hosna's hand in marriage but she declines.

Nayer grows closer to Reem and Ragia. Hoda's ex-husband Ziad attacks her at Ragia's house for going out with Assem. Marihan turns out to be alive. Camellia starts taking money from Ragia.

Marihan regains her memory after three years. Inji recovers from addiction. Fares tells Raef Ezz El Din is the one who tried to kill Thabet. Nayer confesses his love to Ragia, and she finds an anonymous letter in her room asking about Marihan.

Ragia confronts Camellia and realizes she didn't send the letter. Ragia cooperates with Hossam to catch the drug dealers. Inji begins a web series revealing the corruption of businessmen. Hosna asks Ragia about taking her car.

Ragia denies knowing Marihan in front of Hosna and they argue. Ragia finds another threatening letter. Marihan finds out about Tamer's death and decides to take revenge against Ragia. Ragia asks Hamada to get rid of Camellia.

Raef mediates between Fares and Ezz El Din in the matter of bringing Marihan back. Nayer brings Sherif to marry Reem but he is arrested. Ragia finds out that Hoda has been sending the letters, and Walid realizes Camellia has been recording them. Marihan returns to Street 9 and Ragia sees her.

Ragia imagines seeing Marihan but the latter doesn't talk to her. Ragia confesses her love to Nayer. Raef meets with Ezz El Din and asks for help in finding the person who tried to kill Thabet. Hosna begins mending her relationship with Nayer.

Inji is almost killed for revealing the corruption of businessmen. Zizi is threatened by Sobhi's killers as they want their diamonds back but she refuses to return them. Marihan sees Nayer with Ragia. Fares asks Erfan to deliver Ezz El Din to him.
