A group of cattlemen on the Bronson Ranch accidentally shoots and kills an old woman while drunk. The lawman Maddox comes to arrest the perpetrators, however, Bronson offers compensation for the incident, but Maddox, the brave and uncompromising man, is determined to apply the law and arrest those involved.
