After the war veteran Atticus Freeman finds a message from his missing father, he sets off on a road trip with his uncle George and his friend Leti to Devon County, where the county's sheriff and the locals are anything but welcoming.

When Atticus, George, and Leti find themselves in a large mansion, they discover unsettling news about Atticus' ancestors, while the leader of a secret society of wizards has sinister plans for Atticus.

In the aftermath of George's death, Leti renovates an old house in an all-white neighborhood and turns it into a boarding house, which causes a clash between her and the supremacist police. As Leti discovers the terrifying past of the house, Atticus meets a familiar face.

As Montrose, Atticus, and Leti try to recover the missing pages of an ancient book, they follow the clues that lead them to a museum in Boston, where they run into an unexpected threat that puts their lives in danger. George's wife, Hippolyta, tries to uncover the mystery of his death.

After William magically transforms Ruby into a white woman, she uses her new appearance to her advantage. As Atticus and Montrose clash with each other, Atticus sets out to decipher the "Language of Adam".

In a flashback, it's revealed how Atticus met his former lover Ji-Ah during the Korean War, as he comes to learn about her supernatural powers.

As Hippolyta visits the place where George was killed, she finds a hidden key that leads her to discover her true identity. As Atticus discovers a secret about his father, he learns that Leti is pregnant.

After Atticus falls through to another dimension, he reveals to Leti what he saw in the future regarding their unborn son. As Christina plots to sacrifice Atticus, he and Montrose attempt to use a spell to protect them.

As Christina is still after Atticus, he, Leti, and Montrose use Hiram's multiverse machine to go back to the year 1921 Tulsa, where a part of Montrose's past is revealed. They return back to 1955 after managing to take the Book of Names.

Now that they have the Book of Names, the gang heads back to Ardham Lodge, as they join forces to save Diana after she was cursed by Lancaster, while attempting to stop Christina once and for all.
