Jaber is a construction worker who cares for his mother, who is afflicted with Alzheimer's. As he keeps his earnings in a box at home, he steps in to defend Tabahy when El Hafy tries to assault her.

The condition of Umm Jaber (Jaber's mother) grows worse. Jaber is released after Tabahy and El Hafy reconcile. Salah tells Jaber that he loves Ward, who tries to kill herself due to her refusal of a suitor. When a thief breaks into Jaber's house to steal his money, he attacks Umm Jaber.

Umm Jaber suffers from a health crisis. Ward confesses her feelings for Jaber. As El Hafy's men assault Jaber, Master Sherdy mediates to reconcile Tabahy and El Hafy.

With Umm Jaber in need of a kidney transplant, Jaber tries to find a donor and resorts to the black market to get an organ donor, but when the police arrive to arrest the organ traffickers, Jaber and Salah are forced to flee. Tabahy refuses to wed Gharib El Hafy.

Jaber tries to secure a state-funded medical treatment for his mother. Tabahy's assistant advises her to remarry since she is still young. As fire breaks out at Sherdy's warehouse, Mansour burns Gharib's warehouse in retaliation.

Sherdy's son, Yehia, becomes an addict. Tabahy asks Sherdy to hire Jaber, who decides to donate his kidney to his mother.

Jaber undergoes the needed medical tests to donate his kidney to his mother. As Yehia runs away from home, Mansour manages to locate him. Gharib threatens Tabahy to force her to marry him. Salah and Jaber save Ward and Heba from the thugs that kidnapped them.

Tabahy threatens Gharib to get him to stay away from her. In an attempt to get close to Tabahy, Mansour takes charge of the construction work on her building. Jaber goes under the knife to donate his kidney to his mother.

The surgery on both Jaber and his mother is a success. Tabahy admires Jaber for what he did for his mother. Yehia cuts the brakes of Mansour's car. Gharib visits Jaber in the hospital at night.

Jaber refuses to ally with Gharib against Tabahy. When both Mansour and Sherdy learn of what Yehia did to the former's car, Sherdy decides to send Yehia to his family in Upper Egypt to make a man out of him.

Jaber tells Ward that Salah loves her. Sherdy's secretary spies on him for Mansour, who makes a list of all the money and properties his father has. During a diving contest, Laila passes out when her oxygen runs out.

As Mansour mistreats Jaber, Tabahy introduces Jaber to Sherdy. Gharib steals Tabahy's merchandise. Omran threatens Salah's mother after he sees her son talking to Ward. When Yehia goes back home, his mother enlists his help to stand up to Mansour.

Sherdy is impressed by what Jaber did for his mother. Jaber asks Omran for Ward's hand for Salah. Gharib hides Tabahy's merchandise.

Jaber saves Sherdy from being defrauded. Ward asks Salah to leave her. Heba agrees to marry Emad. Laila gives Omar a chance. As Tabahy kicks Gharib out, he tries to assault her, but Jaber steps in and beats him.

Tabahy shows her admiration for Jaber, who manages to earn Sherdy's trust. Jaber gets Salah a job in construction. Mansour confronts Sherdy about sending money to an unknown girl.

Gharib kidnaps Jaber and tries to negotiate with him. Tabahy visits Jaber and his mother. Ward asks Salah to marry her. Laila celebrates her engagement to Omar. After a fight with Mansour, Sherdy is rushed to the hospital.

As Laila rushes to Sherdy's side, she clashes with Jaber. Sherdy shares a secret with Jaber. Mansour pursues Laila but she manages to evade him. Yehia agrees to give Mansour a procuration. Jaber covers the expenses of Salah's wedding.

Laila's mother tells Mansour that Laila is Sherdy's daughter. Gharib meets Jaber and tries to secure his cooperation against Tabahy.

Mansour tries to figure out the secret that Sherdy told Jaber. When Sherdy is released from the hospital, he visits Zeina and Laila, only for Mansour to arrive. As Mansour, Sherdy, and Tabahy go to Gharib, they find Jaber taking money from him. Salah smuggles Tabahy's merchandise out of Gharib's warehouse.

Jaber turns Gharib in to the police. In front of his wife, Yehia, and Mansour, Sherdy recounts the story of his marriage to Zeina that resulted in Laila. Yehia visits Laila. Umm Jaber passes out during Emad and Heba's wedding.

Umm Jaber passes away. With Jaber in shock over her death, Sherdy takes care of the funeral expenses. Yehia gets close to Laila to ally with him against Mansour. Omar and Laila are attacked by thugs.

Jaber buries his mother in Sherdy's family cemetery. Ward thinks about leaving Salah and trying her luck with Jaber. Mansour is furious at Sherdy as Yehia goes to Laila. Omar tells Laila that he was indebted due to the losses his father's company has incurred.

Jaber breaks down at his mother's funeral. Omar and Rudy agree to rob Laila. Hany beats Marwan at the disco in front of Yehia, Salma, Omar, and Rudy.

Omar placates Marwan after what Hany did. Tabahy tries to show her love for Jaber. Upon his release from prison, Gharib vows revenge on Tabahy and Jaber. Laila loans Omar some money.

Gharib agrees with Mansour to do some work together. Jaber and Salah visit Emad at home to congratulate him and Heba on their marriage. Tabahy asks Jaber to marry her.

Jaber agrees to marry Tabahy. Sherdy entrusts Jaber with a major project. Omran and Salah set a date for the latter's wedding to Ward. Jaber gets Emad a job in Sherdy's company. Salma confesses her love for Yehia.

Jaber marries Tabahy. As Mansour finds Sherdy's will, he is shocked to discover that he wrote half his fortune over to Laila, leading him to threaten to kill Laila and Zeina and warn them against trying to get Laila's share of the inheritance.

Sherdy warns Mansour that he will always protect Laila. As Salah marries Ward, he threatens to kill her if she fails to love him. Salma is cruel towards Jaber.

Ward tries to get Salah to quit working with Jaber. On Sherdy's orders, Jaber monitors Laila, who discovers that Omar is a fraudster. Yehia and Jaber beat Omar in front of Laila.

Omran passes away. Mansour and Radwana ally over their wish to find a way to prevent Laila from taking the inheritance. Salma thanks Jaber for not telling Tabahy about what she did. Mansour and Gharib plot to get rid of Jaber.

Ward is cold with Tabahy when the latter arrives to offer her condolences. Omar and Rudy plot to take money from Laila. Salma makes a move on Jaber, but he pushes her away. Tabahy sees Jaber with Salma.

When Mansour decides to interdict Sherdy, Yehia refuses to take his side. Mansour gets Jaber and Gharib to meet, telling Jaber that the two of them want to discuss Tabahy with Jaber.

Tabahy gives Jaber her dowry to start his own company. Yehia gets angry when he sees pictures of Salma and Jaber. When Salma visits Jaber at the company, he takes her home, only for Tabahy to see them together in the street.

Tabahy suspects that Jaber and Salma are having an affair. Ward and Salah warn Jaber that Salma is setting a trap for him. Marwan takes pictures of Yehia and Salma in a villa.

Jaber disapproves of Samar's suitor. Sherdy meets with Omar. Salah beats Ward after she insults him. Haroun's assistant asks Mansour to seize control of Sherdy's company. As Mansour rushes into the house with Yehia after finding him passed out at his friend's villa, it's revealed that Yehia passed away.

Jaber rents a place for his new company. Haroun plots with Mansour and Gharib to get rid of Sherdy, but Jaber takes the bullet in Sherdy's stead. Radwana hints in front of Sherdy that Mansour may be involved with the attempted murder. Mansour threatens Gharib if he tries to harm Sherdy.

When Tabahy learns that Salma is pregnant, Salma claims that Jaber is the father, causing Tabahy to lose it and slap Jaber. The shock of Yehia's death causes Sherdy to develop Alzheimer's. Mansour fires Rahma. Salma confesses that her baby is Yehia's.

When one of Jaber's relatives claims to be pregnant with his baby, Tabahy quarrels with Jaber and asks for a divorce, which he grants her. Laila prepares for her wedding. Sherdy falls ill.

As Mansour gathers information on Omar and learns that he is a swindler, Omar misses his wedding to Laila. To save face in front of the attendees, Jaber steps in as a replacement groom.

As Jaber marries Laila, Tabahy is shocked to learn about it. Sherdy asks Jaber not to divorce Laila so that he could protect her from Mansour. Laila mistreats Jaber. Mansour interdicts Sherdy.

Jaber refuses to let Laila go to the pool or wear revealing clothes. Mansour asks Rahma to bring him a document from Jaber's office in exchange for marrying her. Unknown assailants try to kill Jaber and Laila.

When Laila gets injured in the shooting, Jaber cares for her. As Jaber continues to refuse to work with Gharib and Haroun in their money laundering business, one of Haroun's men tries to strangle Jaber.

Jaber survives the murder attempt. Haroun asks Gharib to convince Jaber to join them. As Jaber becomes an important businessman, Mansour loses everything. Ward gives birth to a stillborn.

Jaber saves Salma from Marwan and turns him in to the police. As Salah confesses that he betrayed Jaber, the latter fires him. Trying to win Laila's favor, Jaber changes his looks and throws her a birthday party.

As Laila falls for Jaber, she gets shot in his stead, leaving her to slip into a coma while pregnant. When Jaber discovers that Mansour, Haroun, and Gharib are behind the attempted murder, he turns them in to the police. Laila wakes up and lives happily with Jaber and their daughter.
