As he struggles with a tragic loss, Sam heads to a bizarre island off the English coast, where he begins to experience mysterious things and finds it difficult to leave. Sam meets the American anthropologist, Jess.

As Sam tells Jess about his son's tragic death, he finds his life in danger as some locals go after him; Sam seeks refuge in a chapel.

When Sam learns a shocking secret about his ancestors, it makes it harder for him to leave the island. As the situation turns deadly, Sam is forced to take on the new role he's been given.

When Helen heads to the island of Osea with her two daughters, Ellie and Talulah, for a holiday, they find things not as they expected. As they have trouble finding a room, they encounter a series of unsettling events.

As it's revealed that Helen is Sam's wife and that she's trying to find him, they run into Jess who's giving birth to Sam's baby. Kail, Jess' daughter, reveals to Ellie the dark history of Osea.

When Sam and Helen reunite, she realizes that Sam is not the same man she used to know. As Jess sets out to execute her sinister plan, Helen and her daughters attempt to make out alive.
