Mottawea is upset when his wife gives birth to a fifth daughter and decides to marry Zubeida to give him a son to inherit his money and land.
Zubeida falls ill and has to be hospitalized, but Mottawea goes against the doctor's orders and takes her home. Haneya asks the doctor to help Zubeida pass this hard time.
Mottawea suspects that Zubeida still has a relationship with her ex Mostafa and has a fight with her father Amer. Meanwhile, she gives birth to a son but he dies a few days later.
Mottawea divorces Zubeida, and Amer goes to Mostafa and tells him he can marry Zubeida if he wants to, and Mostafa agrees. However, Mottawea says he remarried Zubeida so that she won't be able to marry Mostafa.
Mottawea is killed on his wedding night to his third bride. The police suspect his first wife Haneya, his brother, Mostafa, and Amer. Meanwhile, Mostafa decides to work as a body double in film.
Mostafa leaves to search everywhere for Zubeida, while the town mayor sends a letter to Mostafa's mother telling her that the police are searching everywhere for her son.
Mostafa's mother tells the mayor that she killed Mottawea to take the blame off of her son. At the exact moment, Amer confesses to the murder of Mottawea and tells the mayor to report him to the police.
Nariman tells Mostafa to stay away from Azima, while Mostafa's mother pleads with him to return to town to check on her and his sister.
Mostafa runs away after telling his friend Saber that his mother sent him a letter warning him that the police are looking for him once again. Meanwhile, Nariman manages to have her father's friend get Mostafa a job in his company.
Ahmed returns to town and learns from his mother that his brother Mostafa is wanted in a murder that he hasn't committed, so he decides to do everything he can to prove his innocence.
Mostafa spends a night in Hamdy's office after learning that Fayez, the man his brother Ahmed sent him, works in illegal business.
Ahmed is furious when he finds out that the love of his life, Hoda, has married another. Haneya's brother Mohamed fights with Mottawea's family over his sister and niece's inheritance.
The doctor informs Haneya that the baby she is pregnant with is male and confirms it with the necessary tests. Meanwhile, Hamdy and Mostafa agree to set a trap for his office deputy whom he has had doubts about for a while.
Haneya gives birth to Mottawea's baby and asks her brother to return her right in her husband's land. Mostafa refuses to betray Hamdy after someone asks him to forge documents regarding an important case.
Mottawea's brother decides to burn the land's crops after learning the baby is male - thus, he has no right to the land. Mohamed asks Haneya to accuse her brother-in-law of burning the land, but she refuses.
Mostafa saves Hamdy after being stabbed in front of his car. Meanwhile, Haneya tells her father she suspects that her brother Mohamed is the one who killed Mottawea.
Haneya tells Mohamed that Mahmoud, her brother-in-law, has filed a lawsuit to deny parentage of her son. Meanwhile, Ahmed finds out that Labda's father is the one who accused Mostafa of killing Mottawea, so he fights with him.
Mottawea's brother proposes to Haneya in return for dropping the lawsuit, but she refuses. Meanwhile, all the evidence points towards Mostafa in the case of Mottawea's murder, and he is sentenced to lifetime imprisonment.
