When the elevator breaks down in a residential building, the doorman tries to figure out a solution. Dabea tries to figure out a way to prevent his operation from failing. Inside the elevator, tension rises between the two actresses Faten and Reham as they rehash an old conflict.

A flashback to the day before the elevator breaks down shows the lives of those who end up trapped inside, including the reason each of them visited the building. An engineer, Shandawily, arrives to try and fix the elevator.

Two years before the elevator incident, Jalal hadn't developed his mental illness yet. Awad and Reem used to be in a relationship before she skyrocketed to fame. Samy caused his old sweetheart to kill herself as he threatened to leak videos of her.

In a flashback, Roqaya, who is currently known as Reham Sedky, tries to pursue acting as she becomes Faten Sorour's assistant. Samy starts to get close to Maram. Hamid meets Ola for the first time.

Faten passes out in the elevator. In a flashback, Roqaya catches the director's eye instead of an actress that attracted Faten's ire. Maram asks Samy to stay away from her. Jalal is saddened that his project got stolen. Hamid gets close to Ola.

As his engineering project is stolen by Samy's father's company, Jalal captures Samy and threatens to kill him in retaliation. In a flashback, Ola's Uncle clashes with Hamid. Ghanam tries to buy Shaker's book store.

In a flashback, Hamid faces off against a religious extremist in a debate. Jalal gets committed to a mental hospital. Sarah's husband refuses to take another wife.

Officer Haitham tries to resolve the issue with the broken-down elevator. In a flashback, Awad's song becomes a smash hit. Riad is pressured to sell his book store. The producer asks to marry Roqaya in exchange for making her a famous actress.

Sarah is about to give birth in the elevator. In a flashback, Roqaya asks Awad for a divorce. Maram tries to save her friend from Samy's threats. Shaker battles neverending trouble.

The women gather around Sarah to help with the birth. In a flashback, Hamid gets accused, on air, of selling exams to his students. Hesham decides to leave Faten to marry Roqaya.

Jalal's therapist believes that he is not mentally ill. Roqaya pressures Awad to divorce her. Hamid tries to retaliate against Ola's uncle.

In a flashback, Shaker decides to leave the shop. Hamid gets back to journalistic writing after his suspension. Karima is kicked out of the house after she loses Ola's master's thesis. Faten decides to put all her resources into self-production.

In a flashback, Ola's uncle comes up with a new set-up for Hamid. Roqaya decides to offer Faten a role in her series. Awad tries to find out Roqaya's address after he is released from prison.

Shaker dies inside the elevator. Maram reveals to Samy the truth of what she intended for him. Awad confronts his ex-wife. Karima confronts Hamid with everything she has been holding in.

When it's revealed that a bomb is about to go off in the building, Officer Haitham tries to evacuate all the residents, while the people trapped in the elevator futilely call out for help.
