Judge Michael Desiato's son is involved in a tragic accident, and the father faces a decision that will affect his family forever. His relationship with Charlie and Frankie is tested, and things become more complicated when he learns that the injured person in the accident is a dangerous gang leader's son.

On the anniversary of his wife's death, Michael begins asking for help and working with Adam to fabricate an alibi for the day of the accident, then drags his close friends Charlie and Lee into a web of deceit and lies. Kofi is approached about a job.

Michael continues to use his influence to conceal the details of the incident, while Jimmy and Gina plot revenge. Things don't go well for Lieutenant Costello. Meanwhile, Kofi makes a bold move, and Gina makes a deal for her son, Carlo.

Tensions mount as Adam moves from one reckless love affair to another, his grandmother Elizabeth steps in to protect him, and the Desiato family dinner is shrouded in secrets and lies.

Michael tries to return to his normal life until he discovers that someone is blackmailing him. On the other hand, Jimmy and Gina remain committed to avenging their son's death.

Adam spends time with a new girlfriend, but their relationship is fraught with danger. Michael searches for his blackmailer, and Lee intensifies her involvement in Kofi's case.

Michael deals with deeper issues after his blackmail crisis is exposed. Eugene finds a sense of belonging among the Big Mo gang, and Adam's secret is threatened to be exposed due to a complicated relationship.

Jimmy presses Michael about Carlo's trial, Adam announces his plans at a family dinner, and Nancy and Lee discover that some cops are not what they seem.

As pressure mounts, Michael finds a solution to keep Carlo out of prison, and Charlie makes a very shocking discovery.

Adam is stunned by new information about his mother's death. Carlo's trial ends, but Michael and Adam's secrets are dangerously exposed.
