Jumping through time, Mike and Vanessa end up with two new grandchildren, while Mandy and Kyle move in with them during the pandemic, causing Mandy to be vexed at Vanessa’s questioning her parenting methods.

As Mike struggles to find a topic for his 10th anniversary Outdoor Man vlog, Vanessa calls in a repairman, who bears a striking resemblance to Mike.

When Ryan turns to Mike for advice on business growth, the latter worries about giving the wrong advice. As Kyle stumbles on a bucket list on Ed's laptop, he and Mandy decide to help Ed fulfill his dreams.

Vanessa learns that Jen is coming from Hong Kong to stay with her and Mike. Ryan asks Chuck to teach him to golf, after being invited to a company golf game.

As Vanessa suggests that Ed bring back the Outdoor Man Toddler catalog, she learns that she has to choose between her granddaughters Evelyn and Sarah to appear in the ad. Ryan tries to buy a house in the Baxters’ neighborhood.

Chuck uses the money he came upon recently after his father’s death to buy a classic Jeep, upon Mike’s advice, which he later comes to regret. Mandy and Kyle, and Kristin and Ryan, accuse the other family of teaching their children inappropriate words.

Sarah gets into an elite preschool, while Evelyn doesn’t, so Vanessa asks the principal Anne to reconsider, only to find that she wants a political favor in return. Mike accuses Rev. Paul of using Kyle.

Ed proposes a contest between Mike, Joe and Chuck to find a classic car for renovation, only to lead to bigger problems. Kyle and Mandy interfere with Jen’s romantic life.

As Mike and Ed start to think that Outdoor Man isn’t making much profit due to the pandemic, they find that Kristin has a cost-effective solution. Mandy seeks Jen’s help to organize her closet.

Vanessa challenges Mike to give up meet for a week. Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham comes to visit, much to Ed’s annoyance. Kristin, Ryan and Kyle try to cheer up Mandy, who gave up a career in fashion to be a wife and mother.

Despite Vanessa’s 55th birthday approaching, Mandy and Kristin drop off their girls at their mother’s, causing her to miss her training group. Joe feels left out, when Mike doesn’t let him join a car trivia game.

In a flashback, after the outbreak of the pandemic, Kristin suggests that Mandy has a home birth, meanwhile Chuck and Ryan struggle to put together a fancy crib that Ed bought.

Kristin is put in charge of Outdoor Man during Mike’s absence. Kyle and Vanessa argue over what to build in the play area in the backyard. Despite being a beginner, Mandy beats Ryan at chess.

As Eve comes home, she has trouble trying to bond with her nieces. Kyle ask for Ed’s help, after his teacher criticized his preaching.

After convincing Kyle and Mandy to choose guardians for Sarah, Mike and Vanessa are let down by their choice. Jen encounters some trouble as she starts a new job at Outdoor Man.

Struggling as a parent, as Sarah stops listening to her, Mandy gets parenting help from her mother. Mike sets out to find the perfect gift for Ed on the anniversary of them becoming business partners.

As Ryan’s company negotiates a deal with Outdoor Man, Kristin oversees the negotiations, which leads to them having an argument. Vanessa tries to beat Mandy in a step count contest.

As Mike’s doctor advises him to do stretching exercises, Vanessa tries to persuade him to take up yoga. During game night, Ryan and Kristin, and Kyle and Mandy, become convinced that the other couple is jealous of them.

As Ryan bonds with Mike at a marketing retreat, Mandy gets upset when the former barges in on her father-daughter quality time with Mike. Ed tries to persuade Joe and Chuck to see a musical.

Vanessa and Mandy prepare Jen for a camping trip she plans on going on. Mike educates Kristin about the importance of keeping a balance between work and family. Ed makes a deal with Kyle in order to know how to get into heaven.

When the truck he has been working on its renovation for ten years gets stolen, Mike brings together his friends and family, asking them to share their memories.
