As the COVID-19 pandemic strikes, the medics at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital try to treat a great many patients. At the wedding of Conrad and Nic, AJ confesses his feelings to Mina.

Mina and AJ treat a patient who got COVID-19 as a result of an elective surgery that Cain performed on him. Devon hallucinates about his dead father.

When Cain is hit by an ambulance at a crash scene, the hospital’s staff tries to save him. Devon tries to talk a dying patient into calling his estranged daughter.

The doctors try to diagnose a young woman with a baffling condition, while treating her mother from a heart attack. As her visa expires, Mina worries she may get deported.

When Nic is attacked by a drug addict, people at the hospital learn that she’s pregnant. Bell, Kit and Marshall manage to save the hospital.

Chastain and its staff are met with challenges upon it being turned into a public hospital. Nic’s friend, a nurse who was fired for malpractice, comes to visit her after the accident.

Conrad gets a call from his former commanding officer, asking for his help after he was injured. Devon treats a sickle cell anemia patient and advises her to have a hip replacement. Mina skillfully performs a tricky procedure during a surgery.

On her first day back at Chastain, Nic sees her attacker being admitted. Leela’s first day as an intern takes a turn for the better as she helps save a patient’s life.

Bell performs a surgery on the mother of Jake and Greg’s baby. Mina contemplates returning to Nigeria. Devon seeks the help of a matchmaker.

Mina and The Raptor face obstacles in their relationship. Cain is taken aback as Kit asks him to prove he is ready to perform surgeries again.

As a tornado hits Atlanta, the staff of Chastain faces different challenges; Devon and Leela are forced to operate on a patient with a severe head injury; AJ, Bell and Jake perform a tricky surgery on Sammie, a young girl who has cancer.

Nic and Conrad’s plans to spend a day at a spa are disrupted by a patient’s strange condition. Devon asks Cain to help him convince Rose to continue her treatment.

Devon and Leela chance on an apartment fire, helping getting the victims to the hospital and treating them. Billie reveals a dark secret at Nic’s baby shower.

Nic gives birth to a baby girl. Jake and Greg finalize their adoption of Sammie. When AJ’s mother suffers a serious injury, he is forced to enlist Cain’s help, while that latter considers accepting a job offer elsewhere.
