When Saleh and Fouad's mother falls ill, her husband and children take her to the hospital. As Saleh causes a problem at work, he mistakenly believes that his mother has died after finding her bed empty, but he soon discovers his mistake and learns that she is alive.

Saleh's mother is released from the hospital. Saleh's wife, Zakia, tries to poison him against his brother Fouad by telling him that the company employees respect his brother Fouad more than him. The mother passes away.

In the wake of his wife's death, Saleh and Fouad's father falls ill and becomes bedridden. Zakia picks a fight with Hanan after learning that her young son is emulating Hanan.

Saleh breaks down when he sees his father bedridden. Saleh's father relays his last wishes to his best friend and tells him that Saleh and Zakia are causing a lot of problems in the family.

Saeid decides to read his wife's will in front of his friend and his children. As Abu Khaled reads the will, he reveals that their mother gave one-third of her money to a charity and left the rest to her children.

Saeid asks his son, Fouad, to support his brother Saleh to get him to take control of the business. Zakia incites her husband against his father, claiming that his father is mistreating Saleh's son, Saeid.

Saleh asks his father to make him the managing director of the factory, otherwise, he will not go to the factory again. As Fouad asks his father to make his brother the managing director, his father agrees but sets some conditions.

Saleh's inexperience causes a major issue at work. Saeid summons Saleh and Zakia to tell them he gave them what they wanted, revealing that he knows that Zakia has been filling Saleh's head with ideas.

When Saeid Jr. gets into a car accident while driving, his grandfather admonishes him for his reckless driving, especially as he nearly cost others their lives.

When Saeid overhears Zakia threatening Hanan, he quarrels with Zakia. Saleh's neglect causes a lot of problems at the factory with the employees.

When Saeid Jr. fails his exams, his mother Zakia breaks down in front of everyone. Saleh's father grows angry with his grandson for failing his exams.

Fouad goes to school after injuring his arm. As Saeid falls ill, he gets rushed to the hospital, but eventually passes away.

As Saeid's daughter confronts her brother, Saleh, about his stealing from his father, she refuses to signs documents to approve giving up her share of the inheritance.

Saleh tells Zakia that he has prepared documents and will register them legally the next day. Bassem calls his parents and informs them that he passed his exams.

As Saleh learns that his son, Saeid Jr., flunked for the second consecutive year, he grows angry with him, especially as he learns that he lied to his mother and claims that he passed his exams.

Bassem overhears Zakia and Saeid Jr. preparing a new plot. Zakia incites Saleh against his brother, Fouad.

When Saeid Jr. injures his hand while working at the factory, Zakia asks Fouad to keep her son away from dangerous machines. Bassem returns from abroad.

As Hanan asks her son, Bassem, to propose to Laila, Bassem refuses to heed her, telling her that he is yet to be ready to handle the responsibility of marriage.

Saeid Jr. quarrels with his uncle Fouad after Saleh writes over his share of the inheritance to Saeid Jr. As Saeid Jr. tries to interfere with how the factory is run, his uncle stands up to him.

Fouad warns Saleh that he will cut off ties with him if he weds his daughter, Laila, to her suitor. The wife of Laila's suitor, Sameh, kicks her mother-in-law out of her apartment in front of Sameh.

Fouad makes the competent Hamed the managing director of the factory. Saeid Jr. gets arrested for tampering with official documents and embezzling from the factory. Zakia passes away. Saleh goes back to his brother Fouad.
