Two senior astronauts, Maddux Donner and Ted Shaw, lead a crew of inexperienced astronauts in a six-year mission on board the spaceship, Antares, to seven planets in our solar system.

The Antares sets off to its mission in the solar system. On the way to Venus, Zoe puts on a designed suit to test it, after which it throws her up and she loses pressure in space. Nadia questions Steven's presence on the mission in the first place.

Ted's visit to Pod 4 leaves him feeling troubled. As an ambiguous force controls Antares, it begins to affect the astronauts, who start to encounter changes in biological genetics and personality traits.

Chaos comes about on board of Antares as the ship's operating systems break down, causing power, gravity, and heating to malfunction. As no one knows that Ajay has been fired, the crew questions his absence at the control center to help them.

As the Antares reaches Rubicon, the point of no return, the astronauts are forced to deal with the situation, otherwise they won't be able to return to Earth without going to Venus first.

Approaching Venus, the Antares crew recalls their past actions and regret it, while a serious accident threatens the life of a teammate, after which everyone tries to rescue her.

It's Halloween and the Antares crew prepare to make an advertisement for a company that is sponsoring their mission, after which hallucinations threaten their lives.

With only a week left to reach Venus's orbit, the astronauts are still perturbed by the hallucinations they've encountered. Goss orders Ted not to reveal that Beta is located in Pod 4, but the latter is confused whether to tell the rest of the crew or not.

After they are finally able to enter Pod 4, the crew of the Antares is forced to confront eye-to-eye with Beta.

The crew on board the Antares still resents getting to know about Beta as well as processing the purpose of their real mission on Venus.

In the final 24 hours before landing on Venus, chaos and anxiety strike the Antares crew members and the ground control.

As Antares lands on Venus, Zoe and Donner think about traveling to the planet on board the landing craft, the Crossbow.

As Zoe in fact has no time left to collect the Gamma, she walks toward a sound of a crying baby that only her can hears, as a result of her hallucinations, and consequently decides to collect the object, which tangles up the mission.
