The residence of many colorful characters: the stingy landlord Abu Yassin, who owns a shop by the building; Haggag, a married Egyptian who works at a café; Yacoub, who’s married to two women, one of whom lives in the building; and finally, Haseeb, who lives with his sister Haseeba.

Yacoub spies on his first wife in Kuwait. Haseeba expresses to her friend her wish not to marry. Haggag receives an acting offer. Abu Yassin meets with the tenants to explain his stance on the roof matter, about which they've complained, and why he’s seized possession of it.

Haggag visits his wife Nabaweyya’s relative to conclude a marriage arrangement where she was a facilitator. Abu Jassem arrives at the building after a long time of being abroad and discovers that his apartment has been rented, so a problem arises between him and Abu Yassin.

As Yacoub's first wife informs him of her arrival in Beirut shortly, he tries to grovel to his second wife to vacate her house during the first wife's stay there. The situation among the trio Abu Yassin, Sally and Abu Jassem worsens as the latter two refuse to leave the apartment.

Yassin talks about Sally to his mother, who acts angry in front of his father, while Sally refuses to back down about the apartment. Yacoub tries to keep his second wife happy, so he lets his first wife stay at a hotel during her stay. Yasmina's friend helps her attend a party with her.

Haggag rehearses a play. Nabaweyya tries to conclude a marriage arrangement for Haseeba. Yacoub is shocked by his first wife's decision to stay in Beirut for good and tries in vain to dissuade her; he cleverly gets himself out of a jam after she finds a piece of Faten’s clothes.

Faten, with Nabaweyya's help, plots to have Yacoub leave his first wife Yassa for her. Abu Yassin tries to take his commission from the rent, while Abu Jassem refuses on account of the former duping him when he was away.

The women of the building, wanting to solve their marital problems, hire a nutritionist, whose instructions they try to understand. When Abu Yassin catches a thief trying to steal from his shop, he lets him go as the thief pays him off.

Abu Yassin agrees to return the rent to Sally. Yasmina tries to persuade her mother to sing in a video clip on the Internet. Faten pesters Yacoub to go back to her.

When Sally's lease expires, El Mokhtar asks her to vacate the apartment, whereas Abu Jassem gives her a respite until she finds another place. The director has second thoughts about Haggag, as the latter continues to stumble on stage.

Yasmina asks her brother and his girlfriend for help with filming a video. Faten and Nabaweyya continue to plot against Yacoub by claiming that Faten is sick and that she needs him. Haseeba and Umm Yassin start a chocolate-making business.

The police arrest Abu Yassin on account of the spoiled canned food that gave customers food poisoning. Qamar kidnaps Haseeb, demanding a sum of money from his sister for his return.

Haseeb manages to escape from the gang and returns home following attempts at negotiation with them on the ransom money. Abu Yassin is released from custody after turning in the supplier to the police.

Yacoub's first wife keeps tabs on his every move, waiting for another girl to appear, until she comes upon the address of the house where he and Faten live. Abu Yassin plans another project to compensate for his loss from the spoiled goods.

When Yacoub's first wife finds out that he’s married to Faten, they team up against him. Abu Yassin retaliates against the tenants by getting the building infested with bugs. Haseeba meets the expected suitor, Fares, and they feel attracted to one another.

Yacoub exposes Abu Yassin's plot, after which Burai squeals on him. The project of Haseeba and Umm Yassin kicks off. Haggag fails as an actor and gets fired from the play, yet he starts working in the kitchen serving the cast.

Abu Yassin turns to his neighbor Haseeb to help him practice being a waiter before applying for a job at a restaurant. The project of Haseeba and Umm Yassin continues to be a success. Yassin finds a paper that reveals that his father was an employee at a mental hospital.

Yacoub tries to patch things up with Faten. Fares proposes to Haseeba. Abu Yassin is fired from the restaurant after causing many problems.

Yassa returns to Kuwait. Abu Jassem proposes to Sally. The play closes down, and the director turns to advertising, whereupon Abu Yassin suggests to Haggag to have Nabaweyya appear in the commercial.

Nabaweyya agrees to appear in the commercial, whereas Abu Yassin oversees its budget, as he takes a large percentage of the money and the surplus for the rest of the workers. Yasmina is infuriated by the lack of views on the videos of her songs.

As Yassin looks for a script for a new play, he finds one and shows it to the producer. Yasmina records a new video. After the shooting of the commercial, during which Abu Yassin manages to save a lot of money, wraps up, he works as a dog walker with pay.

Abu Yassin and his wife plot to kidnap the dog and demand a ransom from its owner. Yassin seeks his girlfriend’s help to write the play’s script. Nabaweyya quarrels with Umm Yassin on account of Abu Yassin making a mess of her apartment by the time the shooting of the commercial ended.

The plan of Abu Yassin and his wife to kidnap the dog doesn’t pan out, as Yassin takes the dog’s owner’s car and crashes it into a tree, whereas Faten faints when she sees the dog.

Yassin returns home after the accident. Nancy, Sally's roommate, tries to woo Abu Jassem. The tenants know about Faten's pregnancy.

The owner of the car lets Abu Yassin off, after which the latter causes a lice infestation in the building so he could sell the tenants a secret concoction as a cure. Yassin returns to apologize to his father.

Yassa gets furious upon learning of Faten’s pregnancy. The women of the building continue to suffer from itchy scalps due to the lice infestation. Fares keeps asking to meet Haseeba and urges her to marry him.

Yassin applies to work in a beauty salon as a hairdresser. Yasmina's new video flops as well, so Nancy advises her to turn to modern singing. Faten returns to the building upon leaving the hospital.

Yasmina incites her mother against Sally on account of her turning down Abu Jassem. Nabaweyya and Haggag prepare to travel to Egypt to visit his sick mother, upon which Abu Yassin suggests to rent out his apartment for him until he returns.

Abu Yassin tells his daughter about his new job. Umm Yassin has Burai track her husband, after which he brings her news of his new job and of Suzy. As Abu Jassem proposes to Sally again, she finally agrees, whereupon they plan to travel to Kuwait.

All the tenants of the building vacate their apartments successively, either upon marriage, separation or traveling, finally the building becomes empty and Abu Lattouf hands its key to Abu Yassin.
