Former soccer star Tatsuya decides to give up the sport, but Souma insists that he join the Kabaddi club. He agrees just to watch the training, but he soon falls for the vice-captain's trick and becomes a member of the club.
Tatsuya starts training with the team but doesn't like playing in the defensive formation because of their bad way, so he trains to attack. Still, he can't break the defensive formation, so he watches the other students until he finds a successful way to win.
First-year students Tatsuya and Souma play a practice match against second-year students Misumi and Date, however, they lose due to their lack of teamwork. So, Tatsuya works to find a way to improve communication and work with Souma.
Tatsuya seeks to learn more about the rules of Kabaddi because he is determined to win in training, believing that the game will be more enjoyable if he becomes a winner, and the vice-captain notices this and encourages him to show off his skills.
Ojo wants to be the best in Kabaddi, so he arranges a practice match with a school that has a former top player on its team.
Tatsuya manages to score three points for his team in the match and believes they are the better team. However, the other team scores a lot of points led by Takaya and the defense, changing the results.
The second half of the match begins and the competition between the two captains, Ojo and Takaya, increases. However, Iura asks Ojo not to complete the match to protect him from injury and preserve the Noukin team's dreams of winning the next championship.
Ban, a student, fills in an application to join the kabaddi team, but he seems a strange-looking person despite his calm voice, and it turns out he has come to settle scores with Tatsuya.
Misumi is upset after he finds himself forced to play in a new and unusual way, after playing with Date for a long time without changing their ways. However, he asks for help so that he does not feel the frustration and failure that he felt after joining the team.
Sakura ignites the spirit of competition between him and Tatsuya, and at the same time seeks to surpass Ojo, whom he considers his first teacher, so a clash occurs between them during the match and each of them tries to show his skills.
Sakura regains his strength as the star of his team and scores many points in one attack, which weakens the morale of the Noukin's. However, Tatsuya does not give up and uses a new skill that surprises everyone and causes Sakura and his team to lose focus.
Team Noukin loses captain Ojo to injury, allowing the other team to take a five-point lead, but Tatsuya continues his attack and manages to regain two points, boosting the team's morale once again.
