The people of Kufa write letters to Imam Husayn and invite him to visit the city, and Al-Hasan sends Muslim ibn Aqil to confirm the matter. When Muslim arrives in Kufa and notices the state of depression prevailing in society in Kufa, he is forced to flee and hide after Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad tries to prevent him from delivering a message to Imam Husayn.
