Zaqzouq complains that Zarifa doesn't take care of how she looks and is out of shape, and compares her to her sister who is good looking and thin. Zarifa then goes on a very strict diet that gets her ill.

Zaqzouq pretends to have back and leg pain, so he calls the doctor who gives him an experimental drug that causes him actual pain.

Zaqzouq is upset with Zarifa because she always chooses the wrong time to complain to him and gives him bad news, which she always does while he's eating.

Zarifa complains from her husband's laziness, as he sleeps too much and doesn't help around the house.

Zaqzouq can't handle his mother-in-law's interference in their life and Zarifa is upset by the way he treats her mother.

Zarifa is fed up with Zaqzouq because he lost all his money when he bought defected goods from a scammer.

Zaqzouq is upset with Zarifa because she took advantage of their rich neighbor Noaman travelling to meet their daughter's fiancé in his apartment to show off.

Zaqzouq and Zarifa rent an apartment at a quiet neighborhood. However, Zaqzouq causes problems with their neighbors when he watches TV loudly.

Zaqzouq and Zarifa have an argument because she gave him too many things to do on his day off and he just wants to rest.

Zarifa is upset with Zaqzouq when he advises his friend Ebada to marry his daughter off to an older rich man instead of a young man of little wealth.

Zarifa's demands for their daughter's marriage costs push Zaqzouq to take a bribe at work.

Zarifa is angry at Zaqzouq when his friend Amin convinces him that he's a poet and an artist and takes over the deal in which Zaqzouq put all his money.

Zaqzouq finds Zarifa getting very ill and is angry when he realizes it's because she took a home remedy as per her neighbor's advice without consulting a doctor.

Zarifa is annoyed by her husband's lack of sportsmanship and his obsession with the football team he supports, which causes trouble with Zarifa's brother when his team wins against Zaqzouq's.
