The events revolve around some families and how their lives have changed after the slums were removed and they were compensated with units in the Asmarat neighborhood. After his release from prison, Emad is kidnapped by Auf. Aida is surprised by the return of her sister Azza and her daughter Sara from abroad.
As Aida refuses to take Emad in and informs him of his mother Badria's disappearance after he was imprisoned, Emad and his sister Azza leave to look for his wife and daughters, then he discovers the removal of the entire neighborhood, and they return to the family home after Auf threatens Emad.
Bayoumi, the husband of Tahia, a resident of the neighborhood, sells the furniture of the apartments received from the state. As Aida is surprised when Emad and Azza return home, Azza tells Aida that she is hosting Emad as she is her partner in the house. Aida visits Badria in the nursing home.
Tahia forces her son Jamal to work with his stepfather, Bayoumi, while the character of Alaa the nurse, Fatima's daughter, appears.
Emad starts working with Nagy. Elsewhere, Alaa discovers that Jamal has swindled her by selling her birds that are trained to return to their owner. Meanwhile, Aida searches for Rabab, unaware that she is with Azza.
Fatima is surprised when she sees Emad's quarrel with Jamal from her balcony as she lied to her daughter about his being alive. Aida travels to Ain Sokhna to meet businessman Mamdouh, while Auf burns the goods for which Emad is responsible to force him to deliver the drug shipment.
Aida discovers that Rabab is hiding on the second floor with Azza. Rabab is surprised when Fatima visits and asks about Emad, while Alaa goes to Jamal to return the birds to him to convince him to find honest work.
Fatima reveals to Alaa that her father is alive and that he was imprisoned for dealing drugs with her uncle, who disappeared after her father's arrest, while Aida reprimands Azza after seeing Sara with Sharif, which is against their traditions.
Aida's daughter, Hiba, calls Emad, falsely telling him that his mother is downstairs in the presence of Master Maher and his son Ayman to evade their marriage proposal after they learned about Emad's imprisonment, while Fatima is surprised by Aida's visit.
Aida still remembers the last wishes of her sister Afaf regarding Badria, Emad's mother, but she could not quell her feelings towards Badria because she was her mother's co-wife, and also Aida still hates Emad because of her father's marriage to his mother in order to have a son.
Aida fires the maid Samar, wanting Fatima to take her place. As Fatima kicks her brother Sayed out of the house out of her fear of Aida, Sayed agrees with Aida's maid to rob her house, while Emad starts to hate Aida after making sure of Aida's past treatment of Fatima.
Emad divorces Fatima, while Sayed robs Aida's house after using the information he got from the maid. As Sayed quarrels with Ahmed, Aida's husband, Sayed kills him.
Fatima recalls how she and her children were kicked out after her brother Sayed had killed her husband Ahmed and Azza's attempt to help Emad by hiring a lawyer to defend him and find out where Sayed is, but Emad did not tell Ahmed that Sayed was hiding in the graveyard with the rest of the drugs.
Fatima rejects Aida's request to take in Emad, who tries to find out why Hiba rejected Ayman in vain, while Alaa tries to convince Jamal to work in a workshop, but he refuses, so his mom kicks him out of the house, and Azza is still hiding from her daughter the fact that they're not returning abroad.
Aida goes to Mamdouh at his request, and he introduces her to his ex-wife Faten El Najjar. Tahia goes to Fatima to inquire about Jamal from Alaa, and she tells her that Alaa is trying to help him. Alaa makes sure that Jamal has taken on a new job. Hiba turns to Emad after her lover abandoned her.
Aida is still dreaming of marrying Mamdouh, after which she gets into a car accident and is taken to the hospital. As Azza, Nagy's daughter, asks him about his relationship with Aida's sister, Azza, he promises her that he will stay away from her.
Auf tells Emad, after learning about the disappearance of the goods, that he is at his disposal. Meanwhile, everyone goes to check on Aida, and Emad collapses after learning of what happened to his sister.
Aida informs Emad of the location of his wife and his mother, while Haitham, a doctor at the hospital, asks for Alaa's hand in marriage, but she turns him down, whereupon a heated argument erupts between Alaa and Fatima over Jamal and Haitham.
Emad and Fatima meet and start searching for Alaa, after which Emad collapses upon hearing the news of the death of his son Gharib. As Jamal tells his mother that he loves Alaa, Emad quarrels with him and his mother, thinking that they are hiding Alaa.
After Emad discovers that his mother has Alzheimer's, he's taken aback when she tells him that his son was killed. Meanwhile, Aida returns home after her health condition improves, whereupon she starts to be convinced by Rabab's suspicion that there is a relationship between Mamdouh and Azza.
Unknown persons try to assault Mamdouh after he assaulted a person named Paul, who had previously defrauded him, while Aida goes to Badria to bring her home, and Sharif and Sara agree to arrange to travel at the right time.
As Tariq expresses his dissatisfaction with his aunt Aida's handling of their money, he asks for his inheritance from his mother, Afaf, after she told him that she hadn't sold their house to Paul.
When Mamdouh calls Azza to ask her about the validity of the contract, Aida overhears them and gets upset with her sister. Emad tells Aida that Hiba loves someone else, while Tariq tells Azza of Aida's intention to sell the house.
Azza refuses that the house be sold after she confronts Aida, while Jamal tries to stay away from Alaa as Fatima asked. Emad runs away with the Bedouin woman whom he was forced to marry, only to find the goods required from Auf in one of the Bedouin woman's handbags.
Emad delivers the goods to Auf. Meanwhile, Aida admits to her sister that she loves Mamdouh, who visits Aida and Azza to rid them of the predicament of the seller. Elsewhere, Jamal is still trying to stay away from Alaa.
The police manage to arrest those who have been following Mamdouh. On the other hand, Hiba tells her aunt that Aida had offered her daughter's boyfriend Bonduk work in Ain Sokhna, and he agreed.
Azza is still avoiding Mamdouh's attempts to communicate with her, while the lawyer cooperates with Mamdouh to catch those who defrauded them, and Aida and Azza receive the contracts and receipts concerning the house from Mamdouh.
Haitham, the doctor who works with Alaa at the hospital, agrees with her to come to ask for her hand in marriage, after which Sara and Mayar get kidnapped by the Bedouin groups.
Mamdouh is threatened into dropping his complaints against the Bedouins in exchange for his daughter, while Tariq asks Emad to work with him in Asmarat in a workshop without Aida's knowledge.
Aida still suspects that there is a relationship between Mamdouh and Azza, especially since they have been getting together a lot after the kidnapping of their daughter. Meanwhile, Nagy sees Azza with Mamdouh.
Sayed informs Emad that Auf does not know his identity, while the police free Sara and Mayar. In the meantime, Mamdouh tries to get Azza's attention, and Emad refuses to get involved with Sayed and takes the goods to deliver them to Auf.
Sheikh Masoud disciplines his nephew Faris for collaborating with Paul in kidnapping Mayar and Sara and dealing in drugs, whereupon the Bedouin Qamar falsely tells Sheikh Masoud that Emad left her, while Masoud is unaware that she was the one who requested that.
As Emad cooperates with Tariq to open a workshop in Asmarat, Aida goes to the workshop to meet Tariq, only to find Emad there. Sheikh Masoud kidnaps the lawyer and Paul, while Haitham's mother asks Fatima to end the marriage.
Aida tries to help Tariq in the new workshop. As Emad goes to Sayed after he visited him in the workshop, he is surprised to find that his son Gharib is working with him and is not dead. Meanwhile, Fatima informs Haitham of what his mother has requested.
After Fatima tells Emad the details of his son's killing, Emad attacks Helmbouzo, whom he believes killed his son, which Helmbouzo denies. Nagy is surprised by his wife's request that he marry Azza. As Emad agrees to work with Sayed for Gharib's sake, Fatima follows him to reach Sayed.
Tariq deals with Mamdouh and proposes that he work with Jamal, while Paul and the lawyer get arrested, and Tariq returns home. As Emad decides to marry Rabab, he seeks help from Sayed, after which Auf gets arrested.
After Emad communicates with his son, Aida confronts both Emad and Fatima with her knowing that Sayed is not dead after she received a call from an unknown person informing her of that.
Jamal asks for Alaa's hand in marriage, while Aida is surprised by Sayed's presence in the house of Emad, who decides to get back together with Fatima on the same day as their daughter's wedding. Emad reports Sayed to the police, while Rabab and the Bedouin Qamar go to Emad's wedding.
