Hamdi marries Farida, with whom he has a son and a daughter. He seeks to bring them up and achieve all means of comfort for them, but because of his wife's pampering of their son, he becomes like his father when he was a young man who failed in his studies, upon which quarrels and problems begin to erupt between Hamdi and his wife Farida.
