Shaaban Al Mashlouch (Abu Imad) lives with his wife and children Imad, Zina, and Saeed, and attends the meetings of the Youth Party for Renewal and Modernity, but he is arrested for delivering a speech on corruption, so Umm Imad turns to Abu Zainoun to mediate for her husband's release.
Abu Imad is looking for his son Imad, who left the house after a quarrel had taken place between them. Abu Imad discovers that some people think he is related to Abu Kifah, which makes his boss recommend him to travel to a conference in Algeria.
Abu Imad and his colleague Abu Aziz attend a course in statistics in preparation for their travel to Algeria, while Imad searches for a way to travel abroad. Murhaf tries to confess his true feelings to Soraya.
Abu Imad and Abu Aziz prepare to travel to Algeria after passing the course, but they are surprised when other people are chosen. After Abu Zainoun contacts the general manager, the latter offers Abu Imad to travel to an international conference instead of the Algeria conference.
Imad calls his mother and tells her about his traveling to Greece. Abu Imad and Abu Aziz agree to receive international delegations at work. Abu Samir brings his son to work for Chief Muthanna. A reconciliation is concluded between Abu Nahi's party and Abu Abdo's party.
Abu Imad and Abu Aziz receive the delegations coming to the International Conference on Statistics, while Chief Muthanna assigns Samir to smuggle a shipment of ghee from the government and distribute it to the war-affected.
Abu Imad leaves the house and stays with Abu Aziz after learning that his wife hid the fact that Imad traveled abroad. The general manager assigns Abu Imad to be the keeper of the warehouse containing the smuggled ghee.
Abu Aziz is taken to the hospital after his wife attacked him when she went home and found Abu Imad and Murhaf staying with him. The general manager offers Abu Imad a reward, which is cans of ghee from the warehouse at half the price.
Abu Muthanna orders Abu Samir to sign a confession stating that he seized the ghee cans and sold them for his personal benefit instead of distributing them to the war-affected. Abu Imad discovers that his son has mortgaged the house to get money to travel abroad.
Abu Samir enlists Abu Zainoun's help to free his son from the clutches of Abu Muthanna, who asks his son to lay low before the police arrest him. The general manager and Abu Imad are interrogated regarding putting the ghee shipment in the warehouse.
Umm Aziz convinces Umm Imad that her husband is having an affair with another woman. Muthanna fails to get money from Abu Karam, while his father plans to sacrifice his son to save himself.
Abu Samir prepares to turn himself in to the authorities after his written confession. Imad asks for Samir's help to return to the Levant. Abu Imad and Abu Aziz help Murhaf get back together with Soraya after she broke up with him. Abu Imad asks to borrow money from his uncle Abu Kamal to pay off the house mortgage.
Abu Kamal agrees to lend Abu Imad the money, while Umm Imad objects because of his bad reputation. Samir tries to bribe Abu Imad into changing his testimony in order to get his father out of prison. The general manager informs Abu Imad that Abu El Khair has organized a protest against corruption.
Abu Abdo is upset about the three friends' negligence of the affairs of the Rescue Authority and their preoccupation with their personal issues. Umm Imad suspects that her husband is cheating on her, while Abu Imad believes that she is having an affair with Abu Kamal.
Umm Imad and Abu Kamal are arrested, and Umm Imad discovers that her husband sold his apartment and took his uncle's suspicious apartment in return for it. Imad returns from abroad, but he does not find anyone at home, so he goes to Samir's.
Soraya gets back together with Murhaf after learning that he owns a land of great value. Samir convinces Imad to assume the identity of Muthanna due to the great resemblance between them.
Abu Zainoun gets into an accident and is admitted into intensive care. Samir takes advantage of Imad's impersonation of Muthanna and puts pressure on the general manager to get his father out of prison. Soraya and her brother Wafiq plot to seize Murhaf's land.
Abu Samir gets out of prison and vows to take revenge on Abu Imad. Wafiq plots with Heba to manipulate Murhaf in order to make money from his selling the land. Samir continues to make money by using Imad to impersonate Muthanna.
Samir tells Imad about Zina's love for her cousin, Shawkat. It is revealed that Abu Zainoun's accident was premeditated, and Abu Imad is saddened by his death. The general manager plots with Samir and his father to entrap Abu Imad.
As Shawkat gets shot at by Samir, Abu Samir tries to convince Shawkat to waive his right. Abu Muthanna discovers Samir's exploitation of his son's name, and he also learns of Muthanna's connection to the death of Abu Zainoun.
Samir finds himself in trouble when he learns that Muthanna has returned from abroad. Murhaf is distressed by the domination and control of Soraya after marriage.
Abu El Khair threatens Abu Muthanna after Samir used Imad to set a trap for Muthanna. Samir claims in front of Nizar and Haitham that Imad stole the money they got from the scams. Abu Samir decides to run for the elections under Al Hanoun's protection.
Murhaf discovers that there is no money in his bank account, and Soraya refuses to contact him. The general manager demands that Abu Imad replace the missing tires that he was responsible for in the warehouse.
The general manager asks Abu Imad to hide in the warehouse to catch the thief, then he informs the police. Samir convinces Imad to flee the country. Soraya thinks of a way to make Murhaf divorce her.
As Imad sends money to his family, they pay off the house mortgage on time. Abu Imad is released from prison after Imad impersonates Muthanna and threatens the general manager. Murhaf refuses to divorce Soraya, while Heba tries to get close to him for her personal ambitions.
Abu Imad calls for the establishment of the Syndicate of Free Retirees to combat the corruption of officials, and the head of the department joins them. Abu Muthanna uses Imad to impersonate his son to turn him in to the police, but retired employees kidnap him in retaliation for his father's injustice.
The kidnappers demand a million-dollar ransom from Abu Muthanna, who refuses in front of the media to compromise on his homeland and considers his son a martyr for it. Abu Muthanna alerts the kidnappers to the police raiding the place.
Abu Dirgham falsely tells Abu Muthanna that he killed his son and asks for money to return his body. Heba marries Murhaf to seize his land. Abu Imad and the members of the syndicate ask the general manager to sign a confession admitting all of his violations.
Abu Dirgham threatens to expose Abu Muthanna's exploitation of Imad to impersonate his son, so he kidnaps him to force him to get rid of Imad. Abu Muthanna announces his support and protection for Abu Imad, who plans to entrap Samir and his father.
Imad fails to save Abu Dirgham from Abu Muthanna, who plans to get rid of Abu Imad and his family. Soraya and Heba unite to win Murhaf's affection. The police catch the kidnappers. The members of the syndicate continue their mission of punishing the corrupt through peaceful means.
