Omar and Hala are summoned for interrogation in the case of Hassan's murder, and in a flashback, they meet at a rest stop on the road, and Hala recalls her son's death.

Omar and Hala meet by chance, and he notices her husband's scolding of her. Hala tells Omar that her quarrel with her husband was because of her grief over the death of her son.

In a flashback, Omar recounts how he met Hala by chance at a party, and then they became close. Hala talks about her work in a restaurant and her meeting with Omar.

In a flashback, Omar tells the publisher Gamal about his novel, which Hala helps him with.

In a flashback, Omar and Hala agree to travel to escape from people's eyes. Hala notices Hassan getting close to Omar's daughter, so she warns him about her.

In a flashback, Omar and Hala travel to El Qoseir, and Hala blames herself for what happened between them and talks about her suffering with the death of her son.

In a flashback, Omar and Hala meet at her friend's apartment, then Hala visits her grandmother in the hospital. Ahlam gives Hala her bridal jewelry gift, while Omar's car breaks down, and Ashraf helps him.

Hassan attacks Ashraf to take the money; Hala quarrels with Seif for getting her involved in drugs; Hassan and Seif smuggle the drugs.

In a flashback, Ashraf blackmails Omar financially by threatening to expose his relationship with Hala, so Omar tells Maha about his relationship with Hala, and Ahlam finds out about it as well. Hassan and Seif fail to fix things with Ashraf. Seif expels Hala, so she goes to Nesma.

In a flashback, Maha asks Omar to come following a fight at Hana's school. Maha notices Laila's fatigue. Isis informs Hala of her grandmother's deteriorating condition.

In a flashback, Omar accompanies Hala on her visit to her grandmother. Hala's mother calls to inform her of her grandmother's death.

In a flashback, Omar tells Hala of his intention to find an apartment for them after he divorces Maha, while Omar discovers a positive pregnancy test that belongs to his daughter, Laila.

In a flashback, Hala confronts Ahlam about her knowledge of the bank loan with the center as collateral, and they quarrel. Hala tries to commit suicide. As Maha informs Omar that Laila is not at home, he finds out that Hassan has implicated Laila. Omar tells Maha of his desire to separate.

After his life falls apart, Omar finishes the novel and plans with Gamal to publish it. Hala decides to return from Dahab following the end of her relationship with Seif.

Omar asks the mechanic who repaired his car to keep quiet about their meeting before the prosecution. As Omar and Hala travel to bring Laila from Hurghada, Omar, Hassan and Seif quarrel. During the interrogation, the mechanic discloses Omar's request, and Omar is arrested.
