Amina Hussein, a part-time guitar instructor and geeky Ph.D. candidate, is passionate about finding a husband. Meanwhile, Saira, the fiery frontwoman of the all-female Muslim punk band Lady Parts, ends rehearsals early because she feels the band needs a lead guitarist.

Amina receives an alluring offer from Lady Parts: if she auditions with them, they'll put her in touch with Ahsan, Ayesha's attractive brother.

When Lady Parts' big audition coincides with Amina's best friend Noor's engagement party, Amina's covert double life begins to suffer.

Following a botched audition, Saira brings Amina to Wasim's poetry night so she can perform spontaneously and get over her nervousness. Saira sees Abdullah with Layla.

The band is excited to be featured in influencer Zarina's interview. Amina accepts both of her selves and feels stronger and more self-assured than before.

At her lowest point ever, Amina is out of Lady Parts, publicly humiliated, and rejected by her university friends. Momtaz, though, is adamant about the band reforming.
