Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a shy high-school student who inherited magical ladybug-shaped earrings which gives her powers and transforms her to Ladybug. She learns to deal with new responsibilities and protect the city of Paris from evil.

Marinette seeks to get closer to Adrien, despite the troubles she is experiencing and Hawk Moth's evil plans while she is hiding with Cat Noir, and more villains appear that Marinette must fight.
Events unfold in Season 3, with Kagami and Paris's future standing in the way of Marinette and Adrien's love as it eventually takes a cautious step forward.
In the fourth season, since becoming the new guardian of the Miracle Box, Marinette becomes so busy that she no longer sees her friends, abandons Cat Noir, and misses all her dates with Luka.
In season 5, the evil Shadow Moth takes control of the kingdom after stealing the Miracle Box. He utilizes the Rabbit Miraculous to go back in time to a particularly weak point in Ladybug's past and capture Miraculous.
