Amer returns from Libya empty-handed and falls ill. Later on, he opens a handicraft workshop with Settohom, and they hold their wedding despite Rammah's opposition. Years later, Amer gets murdered on the night Settohom gives birth to their second child.
After Settohom cuts her hair and buries it with Amer, she decides not to marry again and tries to find out who killed him to avenge his death. She also refuses to receive help from her siblings and demands her right to their father's inheritance, upon which disputes escalate between them.
Settohom, accompanied by Rammah and Jabr, goes to the chief of the village to have him arbitrate between them in the matter of her inheritance, which she demands of them, but things take a turn, and a fierce quarrel breaks out between Rammah and Settohom.
After Rammah beats her in the quarrel, Settohom suffers a concussion and gets hospitalized. Mustafa travels to Alexandria and beats those who attacked Azza. Najat steals important papers from Settohom's house at the behest of Rammah and Jabr.
After Rammah kicks Settohom out of the house, Jabr hosts her in his house, but he faces problems in his work that puts him in an awkward situation.
As Rammah takes over Settohom's house, Najat tries to settle the differences between them. Jabr takes Abdul Rahman to the mountain where he works, but he gets involved in a serious accident.
Abdul Rahman dies after being hit by an excavator, and no one manages to save him. As Najat decides to get an abortion, she enters into a heated discussion with Ajaibi. Settohom wears men's clothes and crops her hair completely.
Settohom, accompanied by Jabr, goes to the mountain and behaves like a man, then a violent quarrel erupts between her and a worker. Rammah tries to convince Najat not to get an abortion and to give him the baby to register him as his son in return for several inducements. Settohom flees Jabr's house.
As Jabr and his family leave Minya Governorate and travel, they arrive at his father's house. Jabr and Mustafa try to find Settohom. Saadat decides, in agreement with Rammah, to pretend in front of everyone that she is pregnant. Settohom arrives with her infant child in Cairo.
Settohom guards and lives at a construction site, but she gets fired after thieves attack the site, upon which she has nowhere to go. The dispute continues between Najat and Ajaibi over the future of her fetus.
Rammah tries to excavate his father's house to search for antiquities. Najat goes back on her decision to give her child to Rammah after she gives birth; however, Rammah does not object. Settohom lives in an abandoned vehicle, then works on a cart selling beans and calls herself Amer.
Rammah continues plotting and persuading Jabr and Mustafa of the viability of searching for antiquities under their father's house. One of Settohom's colleagues finds out that she is a woman and then agrees to keep the matter secret.
Essam discovers that Settohom is a woman, then tries to molest her, but Ashraf saves her. Settohom quits working for Samir and leaves her place of residence. Meanwhile, Rammah continues to supervise the excavation to find antiquities.
Settohom lives with Bossi in an abandoned place and then sells gas cylinders. As Najat gives birth, Rammah takes the baby from her by force and registers him as his son. Meanwhile, Settohom's daughter gets kidnapped by a human trafficking gang while doing her job.
Settohom, accompanied by Bossi, rescues her daughter, and they free the rest of the kids from the gang's grip. Ajaibi demands that Rammah give him his son, but Rammah refuses and reinforces his position with the child's birth certificate, which proves that he is his son. Ajaibi meets Settohom by chance.
Rawia's health condition deteriorates, and she gets hospitalized. Saadat allows Najat to see baby Ghanem at certain times and to breastfeed him. Meanwhile, Settohom returns to Jabr's house and demands her share of the inheritance again.
As Settohom flees Jabr's house, she travels to Alexandria and goes to stay at Mustafa's house. Rawia gets out of the hospital. Jabr, Rammah, and Mustafa meet with Settohom, but unknown men barge in and attack them.
Rammah and Jabr try to take Settohom home, but she refuses. Najat seeks the help of Rawia and Ajaibi to bring back her son. The child Ghanem falls ill, so Saadat and Rammah try to find a cure for him.
As Ajaibi leaves the house, Najat tries to urge him to return, and then she takes the child Ghanem from Rammah and Saadat because they do not look after him. Mustafa and Azza try to find a doctor because they aren't able to have children.
Settohom works on a transportation vehicle, but Mustafa refuses and prevents her from continuing to work. Jamal decides to travel to London. Saadat requests that Zabiba marry Rammah with the aim of having children in exchange for a large sum of money. Shaaban then asks to marry Settohom.
Shaaban invites Settohom, Mustafa, and Azza to have lunch at their house so that the two families can get to know each other. Bakhita urges Jabr to return to Minya. Ajaibi travels to Alexandria, visits Mustafa's house, and then returns to Najat. Hammad travels to London, while Rammah marries Zabiba.
Saadat quarrels with Zabiba on the night of her wedding to Rammah. Shaaban gets closer to Settohom and tries to win her heart. Meanwhile, Jabr struggles to adjust to living near Rammah.
Settohom refuses to marry Shaaban, then leaves Mustafa's house and returns to Jabr's house. Meanwhile, disagreements continue between Saadat and Zabiba.
Najat complains to Settohom about Rammah taking her son and causing his death due to his negligence, upon which Settohom quarrels with him. Jabr and his family return to Minya. Settohom starts a handicraft project in partnership with Masha.
Settohom takes care of the expenses of Najat and her children, and asks her to stop helping Rammah. Azza asks Settohom for money to undergo an operation. Settohom brings Ashraf and Bossi to work with her in the workshop, while Masha leaves Barakat's house behind his back.
Barakat searches for Masha, who refuses to return, fearing terrorist attacks, and decides to return to Russia. Mustafa and Azza travel to Settohom's house and stay with her. Rammah decides to marry Mahrous to Settohom, but she refuses.
Rawia dies, while Settohom tries to urge Masha to return. Abbas offers Rammah that he partner up with him in the money investment project. Masha returns to Barakat's house. Meanwhile, Rammah begins launching the money investment project.
Hammad dies. Rammah starts collecting money from people. Hani returns from travel. Mahrous continues to pressure Settohom into marrying him. Meanwhile, Jabr's work conditions improve.
As Zabiba gives birth to Rammah's son, she then runs away with him without his knowledge with a prior agreement with Settohom and brings her the ownership papers of the house and the workshop from Rammah. Meanwhile, Saadat kills Mahrous.
Saadat steals money from Rammah's house and runs away, but a taxi driver kills her and steals the money from her at the behest of her maid. Zabiba returns Rammah's son in return for a sum of money. Settohom gets invited to a symposium hosted by the President of the Republic.
