As Taha owns a secret winery, he gets into disputes with the wine merchants. Taha and Awad quarrel over his claim that goods drowned while they were being transported, and Taha accuses Rashad of stealing fabrics.

Hassanein asks Taha to preserve the family and business. As the police inspect Taha's factory, he thinks of changing the shape of the tools to escape investigation. Rawia is trying to find a project to pay off her mother's debts.

Taha offers the police inspector to work together to get to Gaber, whose men quarrel with Taha's men because he doubts the existence of Gaber. Rashad plots to burn Awad's fabrics and frame Taha for it. Rawia sells dresses and Mary accuses her of stealing them.

Gaber's men break into Taha's house, and he hires someone to beat them, while Awad accuses him of burning his stores. As Rawia reproaches her father for not caring for her, he offers her his textile shop as compensation, and her mother convinces her to accept.

Taha takes Rawia to her father's shop and she decides to sell it, but there are things in the place that Hassanein is afraid of discovering. Taha convinces someone to steal Awad's fabrics in response to his accusation of arson.

Al Khawaja, one of Gaber's men, is arrested by the police with the help of Taha. As Taha stays at Rawia's mother's hotel in Alexandria to try to get close to her, her mother kicks him out as soon as she learns of his family name.

Awad tries to drive a wedge between Shehata and his father, Hassanein, because of his preference for Taha over Shehata and his son. Taha's friend dies while escaping from the police for possession of contraband, and Taha is arrested and discovers that it was a plot by Gaber.

Taha's family learns that he has been arrested, and the police search his house. Rashad takes advantage of the matter to tarnish Taha's image, and Shehata reproaches Hassanein for spoiling him. Taha is released in exchange for helping arrest Gaber, so Hassanein kicks him out of the market.

After Taha is expelled from his home and loses his shop, he arrives at Gaber, who gets arrested. Rashad finds papers proving Hassanein's ineligibility to take over the market, so he tries to take advantage of that.

Taha goes to Alexandria after his release and meets Rawia, whose mother announces her engagement, but Rawia refuses and tells Taha the truth. Hassanein reveals to Fatima that he took the shop unlawfully and asks her to tell Taha.

Rawia's mother reveals to Taha that she rejects him because Hassanein previously advised Amin, Rawia's father, to leave them and go to his family. As Taha returns to the market, Shehata prevents him from meeting Hassanein, under the pretext of his fear of them fighting.

Rawia agrees to marry Taha, despite her mother's disapproval. When Hassanein asks about Taha, Shehata falsely claims that he is unable to reach him and refuses to help Taha to meet Hassanein. Gaber gets out of prison and returns to take revenge on Taha.

Rawia's mother agrees to her daughter's marriage to Taha, while Shehata continues to drive a wedge between Taha and Hassanein by informing him of Taha's refusal to return, so Hassanein dies of grief.

Shehata uses Hassanein's fingerprint to forge the sale contract of Hassanein's property to him. He also falsely claims that Hassanein didn't want Taha to enter the market or attend his funeral and that he is not entitled to anything, but the family denies it.

Rashad's plan to take over the market fails due to the appearance of Amin's right in the market, so he decides to strike up a partnership with him. As Taha decides to trade in clothes in the market, Shehata refuses and quarrels with him.

The police inspector and Taha plan to trap Gaber and his gang by planting Taha among them. Amin writes his share in the market over to Rawia, and the people of the market are surprised when Rashad and Amin announce themselves as the heads of the market.

As Taha buys a new shop, Rawia decides to work with him to sew clothes. An argument arises between Taha and Rashad because of the latter's arrogance towards him after he became the market head.

As Rawia accuses Taha of lying for not telling her the reason for his imprisonment, she decides to sell her share in the market and travel after leaving Taha, who decides to file a case against Shehata to restore the family's right to Hassanein's inheritance.

Taha admonishes Fatima and her family for her marriage to Rashad because of the enmity between them. He also tries to carry out Hassanein's will by searching for his partner in the shop to give him his rights. Rawia's grief continues after leaving Taha.

Taha devises a way to make old clothes look like new ones after their stagnation, while Rawia confronts Rashad about his injustice in collecting rents. Shehata accuses Taha of robbing his shop. Taha's brother, Saleh, returns after his disappearance.

Rashad is surprised to see Saleh because he thinks he killed him. As Saleh suffers from mental illness because of the war, he admonishes Fatima for getting married and forgetting him, so she tells him that she's sticking with him, and Rashad quarrels with them.

Saleh tells Taha about his suffering in prison to explain his strange behavior. After Rashad expels people from their shops because of the late rent, Taha and Rawia defend them, and Taha asks her to marry him to protect her from Rashad.

Shehata ridicules Taha after his sister, Aisha, asks for money from him, and Taha quarrels with her. Rawia retracts from selling her share in the market and decides to marry Taha. Gaber discovers Taha and the police inspector's plan after the latter's kidnapping, and Taha helps the inspector escape.

Taha is saddened after Gaber kills Dahab while he was escaping from him, and he plans to find him and avenge her. Rashad tries to convince Rawia that he turn over a new leaf with her and Taha. Saleh complains to Taha about how things have changed in the market.

As Taha rejects Saleh's offer to partner up with him, he quarrels with Saleh for wanting to file a case questioning Hassanein's sanity before his death to take their right to the inheritance. Rashad's lawyer tells Rawia that she has no right to the market, so she discusses with Taha the validity of the matter.

Rashad burns Taha's shop in response to his rejection of the partnership, while Rawia learns that neither she or Rashad are entitled to the market and seeks to prove his lie. Saleh and Taha try to uncover Hassanein's secrets and find out his partner in the shop.

As Rawia confronts Rashad that they are not entitled to the market, he denies it and threatens her if she gives it up. Rashad's condition worsens after losing his surname Bey and his fear of losing the market. The endowment employee deceives Rawia by denying his claim that she is not entitled to the market.

Rashad cooperates with the British to help him hide the paper of his ineligibility to the market, so people criticize him. Abdel Ghani steals his father Shehata's seal and sells all of his property to himself, while Shehata is killed in a quarrel with Hassanein's enemies.

Saleh kills the British soldiers, and his family tries to stop him. Taha asks Abdel Ghani to distribute their inheritance, but he refuses. Hassanein's friend tells Taha that Hassanein bought the shop from an indebted man, who turns out to be the father of Elwan, his sister's husband.

Abdel Ghani decides to sell the shop to Rashad, but Taha refuses. Saleh flees from the British. The market sheikh announces that the market will be returned to the Endowments and that Rashad's rights be revoked, so Taha expels him from it, buys the shop from Abdel Ghani, and restores everyone's rights.
