The series focuses on the events of the Great Fitna (sedition), which took place from the time Caliph Uthman ibn Affan was martyred until Ali ibn Abi Talib took over, shedding light on Ali's martyrdom and the accession and then abdication of Al-Hasan, the accession of Mu'awiya and Yazid, and finally the martyrdom of Husayn in Karbala.
