Ellie is sent to a faraway orphanage after her prostitute mother is killed. The orphanage is run by the mysterious Mrs. Deere and her vicious, sadistic assistant. In the meantime, Detective Carruthers handles the murder case. In addition to the killer pursuing her, Ellie endures several forms of suffering.
