As the agricultural engineer Wahid Mansour travels to Cairo to deliver applications for agricultural land, his mother travels with him, and they stay in his uncle Abdel Gawad's house. He falls in love with Magda, his cousin, and tries to marry her, but he discovers that she married a young man, and he left her, traveled abroad, and was not heard from again.
