Agricultural engineer Wahid Mansour travels to Cairo to deliver applications for agricultural land, and his mother travels with him, and they stay in his uncle's, Abdul Gawad's, house. He falls in love with Magda, his cousin’s daughter, and tries to marry her, but he discovers that she married a young man, and he left her, traveled abroad, and no longer heard from him.
