Saleh tries to convince his journalist friend Alaa to return to work for the paper, but the latter refuses and insists that he stay away on his farm. Naji goes to the businessman Shamil to ask for his daughter Rula’s hand in marriage.

Alaa discovers that the waste from the chemical factory where Naji works has leaked into drinking water. Alaa quarrels with Saleh for his interference in his life’s affairs. Rula is forced to falsely claim that Naji’s wealthy in order for her father to agree to her marriage to him.

Alaa writes an article about factory waste, which creates tension between him and Naji. The secretary Nadia's brother steals documents incriminating Shamil and revealing his illegal work.

Shamil decides to marry Nadia to find out the location of the documents, and he orders his assistant Samir to kill Riyad and implicate Saleh in the crime.

Saleh hides on Alaa's farm, and Samir conspires with Asaad against Shamil, who asks Sami to set up a warehouse under the factory to hide the chemicals.

Alaa hosts Nadia on his farm to save her from Shamil, and when the latter learns that Saleh is at the farm, he informs the police of his whereabouts.

Shamil pushes Naji into addiction in order to control him, and Shamil's men kidnap Nadia.

Shamil meets Samia, the leader of the smuggling gang, and proposes to her. Alaa reaches Nadia, and the latter tells Rula that her father has kidnapped her.

Alaa tells Asaad of a conspiracy being hatched by Shamil against him. Samia asks her brother Rajeh to monitor Rula because she suspects that she has given information about her to Alaa. The authorities issue a decision to shut down the chemical factory.

Samia asks Rajeh to find out where Shamil is hiding the fake money, and Saleh reveals to Rula that her father owns the factory where Naji works.

Rula confronts Alaa about Naji's involvement in a drug case, and Sami is killed in a police raid on the drug gang.

Rula confronts her father about his kidnapping Saleh, and Alaa threatens to report him to the police if he does not release Saleh. The latter flees, and Rajeh tries to court Rula.

Rajeh kills Shamil, and the police question Samia, who denies knowing her brother's involvement in dealing drug and counterfeit money. The police arrest Naji for drug trafficking and attempting to kill Saleh.
