As nightmares dominate Karim's life, he decides to go to a psychiatrist, who believes that the reason for his condition is his marriage to Hiyam, who is several years older than him, and how he was forced to do so in order to support his father and his brother with special needs.

Hiyam suspects Karim of cheating on her, while her son quarrels with her because she married a young man his age. Karim’s father becomes ill and is taken to the hospital.

Nurse Nadine takes care of Karim's father after his discharge from the hospital, while Hiyam believes that there is a relationship between her and Karim. As Rania decides not to continue her psychological treatment of Karim, she reports her father Naeem for his drug dealing.

Karim decides to divorce Hiyam, who takes revenge on him and expels him from the company on charges of stealing. She also cuts off his father's support, and asks the medical association to suspend Nadine from work. Rania's father is arrested.

Hiyam tries to patch things up with Karim, to no avail. Rania tells her friend Catherine what happened between her and her father. Mira's father rejects her engagement to Hiyam's son, who tries to commit suicide.

Hiyam agrees with her friend to trick Karim into thinking that she's marrying a younger man in an attempt to make him jealous. Karim returns to live at his father’s house and searches for work.

Rania's mother tries to support Naeem and promises to hire a lawyer to defend him. Karim tells Catherine of his feelings for Rania. The maid is accused of trying to kill Hiyam, who is taken to the hospital.

Hadi asks Nadine to marry him, but she refuses. As Hiyam gets a divorce, the police question Karim in the case of her attempted murder. Naeem dies of a drug overdose.

Hiyam's maid is arrested, while Rana seeks to reconcile Hiyam's son and his father. Hiyam agrees with her friends to drive a wedge between Karim and Rania.

Hiyam's son confronts his mother about leaving him alone and her divorce from his father. Karim and Rania's relationship strengthens and he confesses his love for her. Karim is surprised by Hiyam telling her story on a TV program and how she was cheated on.

Karim quarrels with Hiyam and asks her to stay away from Rania. Nadine's fiancé attacks Karim's father's house and tries to prevent her from staying and nursing him, but Karim confronts him.

The health center administration closes Rania's clinic on charges of having a relationship with the patient Karim, and Azzam's wife seeks to bring him closer to his son, who decides to expose his mother Hiyam on the TV program in which she told her life story.

Rania asks Karim to stay away from her. Azzam asks his son to forgive him for what he did to him. Karim tries to reconcile his brother Habib and Nadine.

The secretary Rose confesses on the program that she is behind the publication of pictures of Rania and Karim, after which Hiyam collapses psychologically. Rania decides to start her professional life again and Karim returns to her.
